It started off pretty good . The first few episodes weren't bad, But then Irwin Allen decided to take it in a campy direction which totally ruined the show. Some episodes are just unwatchable...I think it had something to do with the Batman series plus a very low budget...

Two of the most unwatchable episodes I can remember is the veggie planet one I mentioned before, and the one with an alien dressed like a knight of the roundtable looking for his princess. Totally ridiculous.

The pilot is actually pretty good. It's on hulu, fancast, or something like that, and without Smith and that damn robot.

I liked the episode where Will and Penny had to go to this school that was run by aliens in disguise and the computer played rock music while teaching class. At the time I wished my school was like that.

Guy Williams and June Lockhart were written out of the next two episodes at full salary because of their uncontrollable laughter during filming. True story.

I think Dr Smith was evil when he thought he had the upper hand, but when he'd been busted he showed his cowardly side, sort of like a bully. |
