How about Rob and Amber? Who's the winner there? Definitely Rob. I feel sorry for Amber. Natalie and Russell. Hmm. Even thought I trolled the Russel fans when they melted down, let's be honest... Russell kicked ass out there and ran the show. Bitter jury syndrome killed Russell. How about Jenna and Rob? Jenna just sucked all around and got lucky. I'm still torn between Ozzy and Yul. I think Yul was lucky and Ozzy is probably a bit below average on the IQ scale. If we are talking real life and not Survivor, Yul is the winner, for certain. Survivor wise, I would have voted Ozzy. Bob? BOB?? WTF??? Stupid Jury. Now I'm gone and upset myself. A lot of losers took home the million in this game. I think I hate this show. >: \| Last Edited By: TroubleInTampa 02/06/10 05:03 PM. As much as we sometimes don't want to admit it, the winner is always the one who brings home the mil and the title of Sole Survivor. Bob was a shitty winner, but he got the votes. When it comes down to Russell - yes, he might have deserved to win the game based on his gameplay, but he lost the game because of his social game, and that is what in the end handed the game to Natalie. Part of winning might be luck of the jury, but I believe a lot of it has to do with your gameplay/social game up to that point combined with your FTC. If you fail at FTC (see Amanda, Russell, ect.) then you loose your shot at winning the game.

Poor Rich took home the million, but went to prison because he won. Does this make in a loser, after all? I fear that S20 will be a big pile of disappointment where we end up losing all the greatest players pre-merge because everyone know their potential. I predict a shitty Candice or Danielle win.

Using similar criteria, couldn't we say that some Survivor winners aren't really winners because bitter juries or tailor-made final IC's enhanced player performance?

I think I hate this show. >: \| You may not agree with who wins, but whomever gets the most votes is indeed the winner. Case 1: If Rob had shown an ounce of respect to some of those players, he could have won easily. It's not in his nature and therefore in the game of Survivor he is at best a 2nd place finisher. Case 2: See case 1, Russell played a very similar game to BRob. Case 3: Jenna played against a good physical player but Matt lacked all social skills to win the game. Case 4: People liked Yul. He played a good physical game, a good strategic game and a good social game. Ozzy was just better at the physical game. If physical was the only criteria, then every Survivor would have had male winners. Case 5: see case 4, Bob played similar to Yul, except strategically and was fortunate enough to have 2 goats at the end.

Its a social experiment and above all else, thats what you need to win the game. Rob, Russell, Matt, and Ozzy all lacked that and therefore they lost. They're not winners. "Gabon" presents an interesting case because it clearly was alliance vs. alliance, onions vs. non-onions on that jury. Both Bob and Susie were given pretty low-key, UTR edits so cant really judge who had the better social game there.

No, because blaming juries and challenges wouldbe like blaming the track the sprinters ran on. If a player broke rules, such as bribing a jury member, THAT would be like drugs. Players lose their medals because they broke a rule, not because they play somewhere they also happened to have trained.

Rob also wasn't as deserving of an All Stars spot (even though I loved him on Marquesas) as other contestants, but when he was out there on ASS, he played an amazing game. His victory would be amazing. Even if he was a pre-jury boot on Marquesas.

Amber is literally forgettable. Most of the episodes I didn't even realize she was there. Casting her on ASS would be like putting Kelly from Samoa on HvV. Alicia was extremely memorable, so I definitely understand why she was cast for ASS. As for BRob, I can't remember exactly but I am pretty sure he was super popular despite him getting voted out so early. Sometimes being a fan favourite is enough to secure your position on an All Stars season.
