It's interesting how many people get upset about carts. Nubber makes a good point that carts can get away and run into cars, and it is lazy of people to not put them where they belong, but my hate is reserved for people blocking aisles, people with too many items in the quick check, people asking to go ahead of me because they only have one item (go use the quick check or the self serve), and people of a different skin color or religion.

BlueJammies wrote:Oh God, that is not the point. Having a good parking spot is a luxury and people get excited when those spots are available only to have their hopes and dreams of a close/good spot be RUINED by a cart sitting in the spot so that they can't pull in. Now they have to turn around and find another spot and that just plain sucks and could have been avoided if some lazy ass didn't leave their cart in the parking space. |

Or you could ::gasp:: nudge the cart out of the way with the nose of your car and park in your desired spot.

We don't have a cart rack at our grocers, just a band of roving retards who wear fluorescent vests that say "May I help you?" and walk around gathering the carts. They're usually there when you're unloading and take it with them.

WylDawg wrote:This. The sensor activated toilet flushes were a long time coming. Of course it's just as bad as a non-sensor flusher if some fucker puts so such shit (literally and figuratively) into the toilet that it doesn't all go down in one shot. Same thing goes for urinals before the sensors. Why the hell can't you move your arm like 2 feet to pull the flush handle? Thankfully those have been sensor flushed for a long time now and the manual flush doesn't exist anymore in all but the shittiest of establishments. |

I despise the sensor sinks. They never work properly, so you're always waving your hand under them forever to get them to splash a trickle of water at you, and then they stop again.

the sensor toilets always go off when I rise off the seat. Unfortunately I still have to wipe and then flush the paper. Two flushes for one crap isn't eco friendly.

well i just pull half way in and move the cart, but that's just me. I guess because I leave the carts in empty spaces sometimes, is the reason i don't mind when i see a cart someone else has left. and if you have a paasenger with you that's even better because they can jump out and move it for you. have you ever had your passenger jump out of the car to save a spot in the next row over until you can get there? i have, now THAT would probably infuriate you. to see an open spot only to be crushed when a person is standing in the middle of the spot waving you by. :)

I show up early for movies too. I hate the assholes that show up during the previews and ask me to move out of my carefully chosen seat I got because I thought ahead enough to arrive on time. But now my favorite seats are not desired by many so I don't deal with the retards anymore <3. I used to work at a movie theater and had to make people move for the tardy fucksticks.
I would say carts left near handicap spaces are exempt. It is poor planning by stores that there aren't cart returns near those spaces. It is all the able bodied people who don't give fuckall about other people's property that piss me off. |

So, question for the americans (even though this might have been asked already. I'm not going back to look).
Don't you have to put in a coin of some kind to get the cart when you first get there? Up here you have to put in a loonie to unlock the cart to get it in the first place. You get your loonie back when you return the cart to lock it with the others in the corral. Cuts down on rogue carts because people are cheap. |
