Watching the show I didn't have as negative a reaction as I did looking at the stills of them.

Amy - Really judges? You loved that? Aren't flowy, #*$*#%* dresses like, so two years ago? Plus, the fit in the bust is all wonky and the dress makes her look bigger than she is. Even I can see that. Anna - That dress is hideous Anthony and Jesse - These people are designers and they don't realize that you NEVER put a short, boxy jacket on a big-busted, short-waisted woman? Jesse's girl (haha) looked a lot better without the jacket. The sweetheart neckline was nice on her. He should have burned that awful jacket. Ben - It might be a good dress on the right body. Girlfriend has stubby legs, so not sure the high slit thing is right for her. Emilio - He made that girl look pregnant. Jeanine and Jay - WTF?? I guess it also didn't help that Jeanine's model walks like a construction worker. The real model didn't do a very good job teaching her. Jonathan - hated it Maya - I sort of liked the idea, but the execution was horrible. Her boobs looked saggy, and that's never a good look. Mila - I actually liked that one the best. When she started talking about white stars on a red dress, I thought for sure she was going home, but it turned out ok. It did nice things for her figure, which is more than can be said about most of these eyesores. Seth Aaron - What a travesty. Like the others, he took a perfectly lovely woman and made her look like a truck.

I didn't like the way the skirt was made on Anna's dress. It really bugged me for some reason.

It's the back. There's a shorter piece that looks wrong, like she ran out of fabric or something.

Auffing Jesus was the right choice. His dress was tacky and terrible.

I thought most of them were off in the fit dept. I agree with whoever said they needed more time with the "real life" models since they are not accustomed to fitting them.
First of all take into consideration the type of undergarment the woman NEEDS to wear for her body type, then decide on the design or modify it. Most of these women needed good bras and there were several strapless and otherwise tiny at the top so that bra straps were showing etc. If they are bigger than a "b" cup a strapless gown is a pain in the ass to wear for more then 5 minutes. It also makes them look like linebackers. I agree that Jesus was the correct one to go. My gosh he had the easiest to fit girl there and still made her look awful. I hope for these ladies they do get some "adjustments" to these gowns before they have to wear them. |

Seth Aaron was looking an awful lot like Ed Grimley during the runway show on last night's episode.

Drew B wrote:I watch the show on the lifetime site and one of the clips explained further. When they go to make-up besides being "allergic" to hairspray, the model says she does not want any make-up counter to Jesse's wishes. She also then redoes her hairstyle. He wanted the ponytail high and she redid it lower. It was as if she felt she should be in control and not the designer. I thought if she was that difficult to work with who in hell would ever hire her. A model does want she needs to for the designer's vision not the other way around. |
