Right now the plan is land in Paris do the Paris tourist thing and I take the train to Amsterdam and spend a couple of days there. In Spain I am having a family reunion so it is kinda the main reason why I am going. I am going with my wife so I am looking more for a quasi family oriented stuff.

My family lives in shitholes which is why our get togethers are always in the Caribbean. The simplest thing to do is Aruba. There are plenty of Dutch there, many Spanish waiters and some French eurotrash. |

how many days in Paris? It's in the upper 40s to low 50s here now. if you like art: The Louvre, the Musee d'Orsay and the Orangerie if you like walking and taking in the sights: the Notre Dame area and the Sorbonne are great, Sacre Coeur is a good climb if you like shopping: Les Halles is fun if you like gold: there's a gold exhibition at the Natural History Museum that's fantastic to blend in, don't wear shorts, sweatpants or bright colors - do wear blacks, browns, and shades of grey and you'll fit in - oh, ditch the baseball cap too and buy a scarf 50 cent's here on the 25th, Pat Metheny on the 13th, AC/DC on the 27th and oooo Lady Gaga in May of if you're into classical music, check here: Link and if you're into classy titty dancers, try the Crazy Horse |

dunno about the free for the non-residents, but it's defo cheaper even for animals - Mr CBR took two cats and one dog to a vet recently and a normal vet visit in the US for two cats complete with all the shots ran over $200 - it was 89 euros here

Go to le Mickey D's at the Louvre. C'est magnifique.
On a serious note, do not go to any of the tourist trap restos where there is someone outside barking or handing you a menu to look at or where you see pictures of food. There are a number of nice little eateries in the Marais district that are delish. |

Oh, and when you are at the Louvre and you start to get dismayed at the long lines, take a look at the ticket booths to see if there is a small machine nearby. If so, they usually dispense tickets and you can then laugh at the people fuming around you still in line.

heh, I can get in the Louvre for free, just gotta show them my work badge
and there'ss at least one good restaurant in the Sorbonne area and a wonderful classical record shop the Galeries Lafayette are wonderful to browse, but very, very pricey and I love the BHV store |
