I picked up three pairs of pants at printemps, four pairs of shoes (two were Mephistos) and 6 tshirts at remarkable prices - I had too since I've lost a lot of weight since moving here and my shoes were wearing out. And Mr CBR miraculously found a pair of shoes in his size too - size 14s are rare in Europe, heck, they're hard to find in the US

It seemed a bit seedy around the Gare Montparnasse. But we walked over to the Seine at night, no sense of peril. the Luxembourg Gardens were teeming with ordinary people and German tourists. Maybe it was one of them who took Mr CBR's map.
