And you're basing your opinions on a highly edited show - interesting........

my response was based on this remark - how does anyone here know that none of the other girls have the qualities wildcat ascribed to Ali based on what little we've seen of them. I think they're all individual, I dont' like anyone more than I like any of the others. I don't let someone's edited version of themselves tell me whether to like them or attribute certain traits to them. there are a lot of things (good and bad) that we don't and will never know about the F4 ladies.

First she liked ali, then she didnt' because she's a bitch, but Gia and Tenley are demure? and Vienna is outgoing. It's called the power of editing/suggestion.

What I meant is that Ali makes you like her immediately. She has a warm demeanor and she's very outgoing, unlike some of the other girls. I think that's why many people (like me) so instantly liked Ali. I've slowly had to reevaluate my feelings toward her after learning that she can be an absolute b*tch.

None of the other girls have that quality. Gia and Tenley are demure almost to a fault and Vienna is outgoing, but in a bad way.

now that's a loaded questiona and I'll answer to the best of my abilities. It's entertaining to me because it fascinates me how women are able to have deep feelings (supposedly) for a man who is dating several women at the same time (something that we heard Gia has a really hard time with, especially when she had her 2:1) while he whittles 25 women down to 1 in 6 short weeks  and it's typically a game to see who gets the prize (as Vienna called him).

That's not to say I don't form opinions on the girls, but I am highly aware that these feelings I do have are because the producer of this show wants me to feel a certain way about them.  Pre-season, when the list of girls came out and they FORTers (of which I am a poster/reader) were convinced Ali was the all American good girl sweetheart and Gia was the bitchy vixen. I posted at that time that wouldn't it be ironic if the actual girls were the opposite, and didn't the edits turn out that way (well Gia is not a bitchy vixen and Ali is a little bitchy)....interesting indeed.

I dont' like any one girl more than I like another because I don't like to judge a book by it's cover or it's edit- just as if you asked me if there was a person/movie star that I loved above all else, I don't, simply because I don't know the real person they are. 

And I do get invested in the show on one level - that of an edit/red flag watcher. I am a member of FORT and I really enjoy tearing up the Screencaps, PIs and VOs in order to see what the story is and who the F4, F3, F2 and F1 girls are.

And I do completely agree with you that there are characteristics about the girls that shine through no matter what Fleiss does to the edit, but I always wonder what we're not being shown and why he is showing us what he does.  And the answer always comes back to the story he is trying to convey to the viewer. 

Logically Gia is smoking fucking hot and Jake would've had his man card taken away if he didn't take her to St. Lucia.  I dont' believe any of the girls are as good or as bad as their depicted, and I feel sorry for Vienna.
