Remove this ad As much as I despise Cook Islands, I get the logic of him ranking it so high. It has the most retreads after Australia, so it would kinda sound weird from a marketting perspective if Probst said it was a crappy seasson.

I feel his comments are always based on his feeling as he watches the show. To this day Marquesas is my favorite Seasons (aside from the Original) and it pains me to see how low he ranks it. Come on Lower than Fiji! Jeff Please! And Samoa and FVF in the top 3!!! Does Jeff not know when the Survivor Glory days were! Cause they are not going on now!

It's pretty obvious Jeff never liked Brian. Samoa at number 3 is just ....... And at least he's starting to appreciate Africa a little more. Got my EW in the mail this morning and was pleased to see this but overall disappointed with the results. Ok, i'm done.

I also remember Jeff being shocked that the general audience loved Gabon and was kind of "so-so" in their reviews of Tocantins. He basically decided on the quality of both before even watching either season.

Vanuatu (The lack of huge characters and huge moments makes this one just another very good season of Survivor but nothing more") For Probst, one great MALE character can make or save a season. But if the guys suck, it usually ranks low. I'm the opposite - Eliza and Ami make S9, and seasons with no interesting women are lacking. However the Black Widows have captured his heart and respect in a way that is unique for women.

Going on how he judges the other seasons ("modern Survivor" standards), China should be way down there too (predictable, very few blindsides, average cast). It seems like he just an automatic preference for the recent seasons.

Lol why the hell is he singling out Thailand when they couldn't even bother to get someone to represent the VERY FIRST SEASON of the friggen show? Other than that I didn't think this ranking was all that bad. The only two big abnormalities for me are Samoa and Marquesas. They tried. Hatch had legal issues, Sue is probably never coming back, Rudy's too old now, and I saw an interview with Kelly where she said she would do it, but that they didn't ask or couldn't find her or something since she's living in Mexico. As for the list, I definitely don't agree with the low ranking of Marquesas. It's top 10 for me. I also think Panama was a little low. they could have went for Dr. Sean instead

Granted, he didn't last as long as either of them, but it's completely contradictory. And on that note... Jeff whines about Brian being sleazy and then sticks up for Russell. I ranted about this a few months ago. Brian's just a victim of bad timing; he played that game before it was acceptable to be merciless. Had he appeared five years later, the show would be all over him.

And Amazon and Outback are the 2 best seasons of survivor in my opinion, its sickening that All-Stars is ranked above both. Samao is better than what everyone here thinks, its way better than the previous 2 seasons. How is Thailand and Marquesas below Fji? really thats nuts. China is too high as well.
