<3 my Toyota.
Why is this such a big deal? How many times has Ford had recalls? |

I think it's the specific things that are being recalled and the way they're going about it. They've seemed very dishonest about the whole thing. Not like they're rushing to fix the problem and worried about their customers.

Ya just have to wonder if a group of Japanese businessmen are in some high rise in tokyo right now being told they have brought a great dishonor to the toyota name .. and being ordered to commit Hari Kari.
Hey ...it could happen. |

What about the class-action lawsuit cuz some people are now "afraid" to drive their Toyotas. Get over yourselves.

i think the big hubbub is due to way the recalls have been so very gradual, and mandated by the govt. agency after investigations - toyota is seen as not being completely up front and honest about the extent of the problems from the begining. they have had to make too many announcements to extend and explain the recalls.

bluesboi, you keep <3 ing your toyota. It just may kill you. I'm glad you feel so confident in them, after they've done cover up after cover up after cover up. Keep sticking your head in the sand.
And this isn't about FORD recalls. At least Ford had the decency to RECALL their cars when warranted. All car manufacturers will have recalls. This is about Toyota and how they've handled it (or haven't handled it), like meatball and goner have stated. |

I have to say, my Sienna has over 110k on it and I've never had to bring it in for any major repairs. That said, I hate my dealership with a passion and can't wait to sell just so I never have to see those slimy fuckers ever again.

I had an ignition problem with my mid-eighties Ford Bronco. It ran rough in cool weather. I spent hundreds trying to fix it. Finally, I sold it. Then last year I learn that Ford had a problem with its primary circuit connections in those cars that would cause that problem, but decided not to issue a recall because it would have been too expensive.

ford knew that there would be lawsuits about exploding Pintos before they built it and went ahead with it anyway.

This isn't about 30-40 years ago, or Ford. This is about Toyota and their cover ups about them lying about their quality.
