Underwood pretty much kicked of the Super Bowl as she sang the National Anthem with class. She really looked classy in wearing a white jumpsuit accented with silver chains and a silver belt. Carrie Underwood excels no matter what the context. Carrie Underwood sang the National Anthem, a ‘capella, live–NO lip syncing–before today’s Superbowl game. I am officially impressed. The last note was a little wobbly, but still–awesome job, Carrie. I do believe that performers have lip synced the National Anthem to a backing track nearly every year since 1993. |

and MPC why post that shit in here. and if they usually use the pretaped shit then Carries rehearsal was better. So if they would have used tape we might have heard the rehearsal version where there is no stress/crowd/noise/cameras/etc.....like the last x many years of performers.

They definitely should have gone with that. So is stress/crowd/noise/cameras/etc the official reason carrie fans are going with why her live version tonight was not as good as the live version a couple of days ago? |

she sounded good. a little bit shouty but hello, it's a fucking arena filled with people gotta be a little shouty IMO. She kept it clean and didn't riff and trill it to death. Queen was a fucking trainwreck. Not sure who thought that bastardizing America the Beautiful was a good idea.
I loved her outfit until it panned to the shoes. They reminded me of the plastic barbie shoes. maybe she should've worn silver to match her sparkly top under the white jacket? but overall she looked great. pretty hair and gorgeous make up! |

in the video they shot of her there she said on the road she does her own hair and makeup
kinda one good thing about her not being 'perfect' shows it was indeed live. We heard the rehearsal and it didn't have any issues that I heard. the nerves had to be huge and I doubt she could even hear her own voice at the end. Queen was pulling her ear piece out from the start so she really struggled still don't explain the end of America ..... WHY the fuck did they do that ;/ |

Funny thing, in the little Carrie video on the last page, Carrie said that she'd probably be more nervous than any of the players. One of the reviews of her performance, I think it might've been EW???, said that she had no nerves. She shrugs it off and hides her nerves so well!!!
