Don't think Melissa wants anyone to feel sorry for her. She may not be selling 'multi-platinum all over the world' or whatever but she's doin pretty well for herself pursuing what she likes to do. And she's only 21. She must have some deal to sing at Leafs games on at least a semi-regular basis though because she performed the anthem last fall too if I remember correctly. She should probably update her twitter page some more and finally get around to putting up a new website but c'est la vie, at least she's still out there.

TORONTO — The Canadian Tenors get a surprise from Celine Dion on Wednesday's instalment of "The Oprah Winfrey Show." The Tenors taped an episode of "Oprah" last week and were shocked when Dion came onstage to sing along with their version of the Leonard Cohen classic "Hallelujah." The episode is set to air Wednesday. The Canadian Tenors -- Clifton Murray, Victor Micallef, Remigio Pereira and Fraser Walters -- are in the midst of an 80-city North American tour. They're also booked for "Dr. Phil" on Friday. On Sunday, they're scheduled to sing the national anthem at the NBA all-star game in Dallas. |

I don't remember Clifton, but then again, I wasn't impressed by many in Seasons 3, 4, & 5, so I didn't really watch a whole lot of them. I did see a YouTube clip of him performing "I'll Be" (which, go ahead and laugh, but I still picture as a Theo song because it was the only cover song on his indie CD...and yes, I already knew the Edwin McCain version). And speaking of YouTube, Miki, I'm surprised you didn't comment on Theo's new video. I know you can see it as you're a Canuck. It's just not like you to keep your mouth shut! |

Wow Miki...such nice things to say! I'm a tiny bit surprised. I know you like him, but it's hard for you to admit it sometimes. And I still say you need to come out to see him play and get to meet him after a show. You'd love him. (And yes, he does have "coot" stubby, chubby fingers.) And lower budget or not, the video looks much better than some that have had a pile of money dumped into them. I love that he recorded live vocals for it...and sounded fantastic! (No surprise there.)
Remember back when another poster (sorry, can't remember who it was) was asking about where to go shopping in Toronto, and Miki and I both mentioned Yorkdale Mall? Well I just found this article that I've never seen before - Secrets of the Stars for Last Minute Shopping where they asked some Canadians for comments on Christmas shopping. I got a laugh out of Theo's comments on his worst shopping experience.

You know, after being brave enough to venture into the Adam threads to peek, I can say I'm quite a NORMAL person!!

aww. He's soo coot. The malls here can be a nightmare at X Mas time.
I've always liked Theo. I bought his album on the day it came out. I just like to make fun of him and you. <3 And Theo is totally my "type". I dont' really have a type but if I was to mold someone, it would be like him. Sensitive, artistic, cutsey, I like the bit of chub, he's huggable. Bless him. I just wish our Idols were more respected. Eva, Brian, Theo, Melissa are amazing winners. It's rare I watch a show and 4 years in a row, my chosen one wins. |

Yay for all the Theo love.
And, Wiebe, I know what you mean. I'm an Adam fan and all, but I avoid the threads when I can. It's just not worth it. It's hard being a fan of someone when the fans are kind of insane. I remember SHC and I being a few of the only (if not the only) somewhat sane Carrie fans back in season 4 (I say somewhat since neither of us is completely all there). |

The only somewhat sane Carrie fans?
Were we not the only Carrie fans period? I remember everyone hated her and called her Farmbot, now she's a superstar and people are all "look how great she is." Bandwagon jumpers. |

"Sweater Song" is great lyrically.
But I have to give the edge to catchy over lyrically any day of the week. Hedley is ace at catchiness. I've had the damn bridge line stuck in my head for the past couple days. Hey pretty lady it's crazy...... |

So you give the edge to mainstream shit over actually well written songs?
Now I know why shitty music is so popular. |
