It bothers me that all the toys now are electronic stuff. There is hardly anything that requires kids to be creative or use their imaginations.

My 3 year old nephew told me his Grandma got him hungry hungry hippos for Christmas. I begged my sil to invite me to her moms house so I could play it with him.

This was my favorite toy as a kid. Used to spend hours making it walk down the stairs. It was a challenge at my grandma's house because she had a landing and getting the Slinky to keep going past the landing was a major accomplishment!

I still have most of my toys from both "eras". There are various things that went missing, like my figurines of Ickis and Krumm from "Aaahh!!! Real Monsters"(I didn't have Oblina since I avoided females back then) and this Stretch Armstrong type doll that looked like The Thing from Marvel that you could pump up. |

I had the Evel Kenevil motorcycle that you made go across the floor by locking it into a stand then leaning down on the stand and cranking a handle and then hitting a release button. Ther was even a miniature Evel that went on top of the motorcycle.
It never stayed on for the entire ride. |

I had a similar record player, except it had Winnie the Pooh on it instead.
