Melrose is actually good. Blueberry is psycho because he actually likes the Riley character.
Coming back in March is a good sign they've given up on it. They're planning to run it right into the teeth of the American Idol finale. (Generally networks don't even try to compete against Idol and just counterprogram garbage against it.) |

Pretty embarrassing for Heather Locklear. As much as I liked her character before, I was surprised she decided to come back to this remake. The show was
dead on arrival.

The Melrose Place reboot is probably the best thing on CW right now, sad to say.

Gossip Girl isnt coming back until March either, so its not just a treatment theyre giving Melrose. I actually like the reboot. I want to see it last.

FYI - The CW is bringing back BOTH Melrose Place and 90210 on March 9th, so it doesn't necessarily mean they're giving up on MP unless they're
giving up on 90210 as well.

Sad but expected. Only hope now is if there's international interest.
This show is miles better than Gossip Girl & 90210 but there's still "something" missing. They never should have started it out with a death, messed up the layout of the complex and shot it in that weird drab way they do. |

Sad to say, I still haven't even watched the last 2 episodes before it went on hiatus, and them taking it off the schedule for infinity didn't help me want to get caught up. And I'm one of the bigger supporters of the current incarnation. |

Doug Savant to Melrose Place: Thanks, but No ThanksJust because original Melrose Place star Laura Leighton appears on the revived prime-time soap doesn't mean her real-life husband, Doug Savant, is planning on doing the same. Savant tells us he's turned down producers' offers for him to revisit his starmaking role of the openly gay Matt Fielding. "The wonderful people at Melrose inquired about if I might come over and do something for the show, but I'm gratefully, gainfully employed," the 45-year-old actor told us at this weekend's StandUp for Kids/Los Angeles benefit at G2 Gallery in Venice, Calif. "I'm so busy with Desperate Housewives [that] I'm just unavailable." Not even for a small cameo? "Here's the deal—here's the truth: They need to get us old-timers back for a real old-school Melrose Place reunion," Savant said. "I'd come for that." That doesn't mean he's not a fan of the new Melrose. "I really like it," Savant said. "I like Michael Rady. I think Katie Cassidy is fantastic." And then he added with a smile, "Of course there's the untouchable Laura Leighton, who is the best." |
