no, no, no on the american processed cheese (it's not officially cheeses - look at the fine print)
if you want to get totally cheap and classless, do what I did in college, which is buy the cheapest macaroni you can find and a can of campbell's cheddar cheese soup and toss the soup into the cooked noodles with a little bit of milk, then bake. When we had a little bit of extra money, we'd throw in a drained can of tuna. |

I like to fully cook them so they absorb less sauce. dry mac and cheese is gross. |

They're going to absorb sauce regardless so if they're fully cooked you're going to end up with a mushy mess.
