It also fits in nicely with a theory I've been thinking about relating to Jacob's list. Those on the list, like Jack, will lose their way off-island, and their worlds will become dark, confused and black, whereas those who are not on the list (including those who died in previous seasons) will now thrive or find hope, light and redemption off-island. Locke is an example of that . .No I didn't notice because Jack was wearing a suit the first flight and Locke was not. Wasn't he wearing something light then, too? It didn't seem odd at all.
Both Jack and Locke are on "the list". I think Jack's already gone through his off-island dark & twisty phase.. already lost his way. I don't see that happening again in Sideways World. Did I misinterpret what you were saying?
