Perhaps you've blocked it from your memory (I wish I could), but the show featured the whole "going public" thing in a big way. It was the cliffhanger ... Nathan held a press conference where he was going to reveal his powers, got shot by future Peter, and present Peter experienced a future set after everyone finds out about "specials". It didn't work out well for anyone.ThaimeAfterThaime wrote:We are told the 'average person had no idea'. In fact, after four seasons of sloppy writing with dozens if not hundreds of open displays of abilities, only blind and deaf people would be under the illusion. Of course, this is a world where hundreds of people can attend a carnival in Central Park with nary a cop in sight, even after a 'gas main break'. The 'averages' in this world are apparently all idiots. Maybe being 'special' here is simply having a clue?NlGHTCRAWLER wrote:I was thinking about the season finale with Nathan about to go public. Future Peter teleported back in time and shot his own brother to stop him from doing it, because it meant the end of everything. I guess going public a year later will be entirely different.
Like a previous poster said, when Nathan was sending out the troops after the Specials, the average person had no idea. Now they will know about the Specials.
