in fact, Aiken outright lied about his sexuality for five years so I'm not sure he's a good example to use.
Adam is implying that gay people will do better on Idol now because of him. That's bullshit. It was obvious to a lot of people that both Clay and Adam were gay without them saying it. There were also cows from both fanbases that refused to believe it until they came out officially. Neither Adam nor Clay said they were gay to the Idol audience while they were on the show.
Adam (and his delusional fans) liked to pretend he is breaking down some barrier. He isn't.
