Now, I work for myself and get up whenever I want, depending upon the work load for the day.
It's a good life.

I usually set my alarm for an hour and a half before I have to be at work.
I press sleep for 45 minutes (5 times at 9 minutes each), giving me 45 minutes to get ready. Rush to get dressed, skip breakfast, and arrive at work 10 minutes late. Daily. = ) |

Been working from home for 4 years now. I set my alarm at 8:15AM, check personal e-mail, Facebook, etc. Get up and go to my office around 9AM, read work e-mail, around 9:30AM take dog out, do coffee. I usually take a shower around 11AM in the middle of "work".

I wake up between 4 or 5 every morning sans alarm clock - I don't have to be at work until 8:30 but I'm often there earlier.

I get up around 5:45am and walk into work around 9am. Schedule is basically, one of my dogs gets me up around 5:45am (he's my little alarm clock). I let him and my other dog out. Feed them. Around 6am I start giving one of the dogs eye drops ... 4 different ones that need to be given at least five minutes apart, which takes us to 6:15am. I eat breakfast, usually a bowl of cereal, fruit and yogurt while I'm doing that. Play with the dogs and watch TV until 7am. Go on the Wii until 7:30-7:45am. Shower, get dressed until 8:15am. Let the dogs out again, kiss my still sleeping partner goodbye, walk out the door at 8:30am, arriving at the office around 30 minutes later.

I am trying very hard to wrap my arms around the concept of getting up even one second before you absolutely have to without getting fired. I'm having a really difficult time doing so.

Trixie Delight wrote: I admire you for going to the gym early in the morning. I can't even fathom doing such a thing. The thought of doing something really physical right after I wake up makes me sick, not to mention you exhaust yourself right before work, although it might actually energize you, I don't know. I'm curious to try it some time.

I start throwing stuff out of my nightstand drawers, cough, candies tums, whatever, at the dog and cat to shut them up at 5:30, then try to ignore them for about half an hour, then get up and feed them, let the dog out. Get myself cleaned up, do the hair etc., have breakfast, do some dishes. Sit and stare at the computer for a bit, watch the morning news, and leave for work. It's about 1 1/2 from get up to go.

My alarm goes off at 4:45, but lately (winter) I get up between 5 and 5:15. Get on Internet.
At 6:15, I read the newspaper, start getting ready for work about 6:45-7:00, do laundry, empty dishwasher, continue getting ready for work, get daughter up, cook eggs, continue getting ready for work, and I usually leave about 8:30 and get there by 8:40, even though I'm supposed to be there at 8:30. |

Wake Up at 6:45 - wake up Husband and he wakes up kids.
Get out of bed around 7:15. Visit with girls, see family off as Husband drives the kids to school. Commute 15 seconds from coffee pot to office and start by a little internet surfing and then start work around 7:30am. Mid - day - take my lunch hour as a nap or work through and then go to the gym prior to picking up girls from school. Errands - Back home and work about 1 more hour. Done. |

I wake up an hour before my shift starts and hit the snooze a few times. Get ready in about 15 minutes and out the door. Usually about 5 minutes late.

I can be showered & blowdryed in 20 minutes flat.
I multi-task by brushing my teeth while the conditioner soaks. I do get up 30 mins. before I go out the door, even tho I don't need to.

I think I would be depressed as all fuck if I worked from home. I need to get out and hate some other place so that my home remains my sanctuary.

gawd yes zippy.
earliest my alarm goes off is 6:30, I usually listen to a couple of songs and the news before I get up, generally about 20 minutes. Gotta at least be in the shower before 7, shower and dried by 7:15. I should be out of the house by 7:30 to be at work "on time" at 7:45, but because I lay in bed so long, I'm rarely out before 7:40, and pull in at about 7:55. This is if my start time is 8, some days my start time is 9, and sometimes 11. I adjust the relative wake up time accordingly then. |

I have to be in by 9AM, and the last train that'll meet that time leaves at 8:20, and it takes me about five minutes to drive to the station (ten if I 'board), so I'm usually up by around 7:45, 8:05 at the very latest. I take a shower at night, so I don't have to worry about re-showering in the morning.
