Weren't the rumors/conspiracy theories at the time that they moved up/created the swap to save Gina? Yep the rumor has always been that the producers tried to save Gina. I'm not sure if I believe it or not, but it's clear she was Probst's (and probably a few others') favorite player. She and Hunter almost had the first Survivor romance. It's something the producers were probably dying for. |

One last thing about Jeff telling off Pappy/Neleh/Kathy. Apparently he was so fired up to abuse them he told all the camera crews to turn off the cameras first so theres no way anyone will ever get to see it.

Yes but Hunter and Gina were the golden couple. They were the alpha male and alpha female. That's everything Probst and the producers are/were looking for in a season.

Only comments I ever heard were directed at Neleh and this is rumor not fact. Apparently he called her fire crotch and said she smelled like diarrhea. John Carroll could probably tell you more if he still posted here.

There's no way the Outback swap rumor is true. No way the producers would have tried a twist in the second season. The formula was too much of a sure thing at that point. You don't mess with a show that was pulling in 50 million viewers a week.

Im sure this has been said but its worth mentioning again.
Thailand, episode 3 reward challenge. Jeff was in a piss poor mood and disqualified Ken, even though his foot was in the attack zone, then disqualified Stephanie whose arms never left the attack zone when she pulled Ted's big ass in (which how this big ass man let a girl pull him in like it was nothiing is beyone me), in Steph's situation she shouldnt have been disqualified and Chuay Ghan shouldnt have gotten an item from Sook Jai, but Steph should have went back to the start. and finally Jed was actually in the attack zone when he made contact as well he was just propelled forward. Jeff was a bitchass and was biased in favor of Chuay Ghan. imo had Sook Jai won that and possibly had more energy to keep on a winning streak then we could have had a decent season had Jed, Robb and Stephanie made it far. |
