I'm just SUPER HAPPY that the Blackberry FB App is functioning LIKE NORMAL. YAY ME!


It went down for a couple days when the switch happened, so I thought I would have to wait for a new app, but it works the EXACT SAME as before.


I can view ONLY Status Updates, in chronological order - no FB picking stuff for me - HA HA YOU PEOPLE ARE STUPID!

I love it. The only glitch is that the calendar part doesn't work right. Facebook will take over your calendar (MAYbe - it didn't the first time I installed) and you'll have to google how to change it back to your device calendar (this is if you use a "Today" theme where the calendar shows up on your home screen - all of a sudden everything I'd put on my calendar disappeared, and it was all FB friend B-Days - but, thank God I figured it out).


It's VERY simple to use, and one HUGE plus about it is that you can sync your FB friends to your contact list. If the names match completely (first, last) it should automatically find them and all that, but otherwise, just go to your friend list in the FB app and highlight each name and go to the menu and sync to contact list.

It pulls all their FB info and puts it in your contact list for you. Most people don't list their phone number as public, so it won't just start pulling that kind of private info off for ANYone, but you can request their phone number and they can send it to you. It's pretty nifty. It will generally only auto-pull employer and email info, if that's public.


Also, it's easy to use and not confusing like the new FB. You can view news, status updates, photos etc. You can post photos directly from your BB and all that, too, of course. You don't see full profiles (I don't think), but you can browse photo albums of friends and stuff pretty easily, I guess. I haven't really used it for that much, though. Just for pictures of TeqVaq to J/O to late at night when I don't feel like booting up the laptop.

It's not a glitch, it's a feature.
