Idol has also never had 5 white women in the Top 12 period and that happened this year. There's a first time for everything and there's also no guarantee that Siobhan and Crystal aren't going to get voted off. This Top 12 only has 2 black people in it and 1 Latino, that's 9/12 white people which is probably a first as well.

Back on Didi. Listening to "Play With Fire," I only got a chance to listen once earlier. Love it. Such a beautiful voice. I'm with token, I think her song interpretations are wonderful. I love her arrangements, her phrasing, her tone etc. I like that we can now confirm she is able to be versatile and arrange songs in such a way that suit her. There was a point there where I was sort of afraid she'd never get praise if she didn't do stuff with her guitar every week. Like I said Didi has said she only learned guitar two years ago and we know she's been doing her music for at least 5+ years so she can obviously do things without the guitar.

I'm excited to watch her progress in this competition.

I didn't and still don't think "Lean On Me" was a disaster. I thought it sounded good. It was definitely not a good song choice, didn't make sense and didn't suit her but I didn't hate the performance by any means.

Carly imo was on a lot more than she was off and got shit on a lot by the judges, Simon in particularly very unfairly. I will never forget Simon's idiotic comments about "Here You Come Again," which was one of the best vocals of that season. Such a bitch.

I believe Simon to be a smart man so he has to be doing shit like that on purpose. There's no way Simon thinks "Blackbird" is just a stupid song about a bird and if he does well then he truly is a moron.

So far I don't think he's said anything nearly that stupid to Didi. The cat screeching thing was inaccurate imo but at least it won't confuse her.

Katie I think is the one who is getting some very confusing and stupid comments but that's fine by me, I hope they fuck her over and she gets the boot soon.

In any case Simon is very calculated, he says things to get a certain reaction out of the audience and/or the contestant. He wants to affect people, and yeah stupidity like that only serves to purposely take someone down for no apparent reason. "Blackbird" was really beautiful and his reaction to it was beyond stupid.
