So I've now listened to all the studio versions I'm actually interested in from this week, plus Lacey's.
Didi's, Siobhan's and Lee's are just awesome. They all sound so great. Crystal's is pretty cool, she sounds really nice. Aaron's is surprisingly good. Lacey's is terrible. Casey's sounds so much like Bo, maybe its the song or maybe its the lack of the visual but I just don't really care about his all that much. Its decent but I'd never buy it. |

There are a number of really good studio versions from this week. The production is even sounding better - the arrangements and instrumentations don't sound as karaoke as usual.

That said I didn't listen to anyone I find truly awful except Lacey so who knows. |

I think Paige sounds really soulful in the studio take, but I don't like the sound of the recording. The guitars sound cheesy and the drums sound canned. Doesn't do the song or her voice justice. I'd like to hear it w/ the original Stones backing track, or even w/ Tina Turner's.
eta: btw, it's kind of odd that she changed the gender in the lyrics to this one, considering she had no problem keeping the lyrics as they were in All Right Now, which is essentially a song about picking up a chick.

What's weird is that whenever you listen to any of the studio versions (previous seasons included), they all sound Chipmunkified.

People usually upload the studio versions to iTunes every week Suzy, I listen there mostly before deciding which ones to acquire.
Posters here post them in threads sometimes too, the Youtube videos I mean. |
