I'll go into more detail later, but all of his confessionals were very insightful on his decision and his place in the game, as well as his relationship with Brenda.I actually see where this comes from.If I recall correctly, Chase may have gotten loads of crap from Brenda about his game and his choice to go with the girls, but he got to explain WHY he went with them.Does anybody have quotes from Chase? Today was a huge Reward. It drove me crazy, I mean, that I missed that. But I went with my gut and I wanted to show the girls that they can trust me. And hopefully that'll get me further in the game.My relationship with Brenda has definitely changed. I'm not sure about Brenda, I'm not sure where her head's at right now. We've been away from each other since we did the tribal swap and, uh, we don't talk much anymore. We talked a lot at the old La Flor camp a bunch, and now we don't talk much. And that could be cause she's really with Marty, I don't know why.I can see the CP from these. Personally I thought it got immensely overshadowed by the OTT elements (still appearing whipped by Brenda, being labeled a bad player by multiple people, playing with "emotions" and "character"). I'm assuming that people went with the logic of CP + OTT = MOR? Because no one explained why they chose MOR, and I can't see how Chase would be MOR otherwise.

RedCoffee wrote:Shouldn't INV be the default rating? When the episode starts, they are all INV because they haven't been shown. At 1 second into the episode, everyone meets the criteria for INV (no content). If, by the end of the episode, they have not been shown the rating of INV would not change. Are you just saying that MOR is the "we don't know and they weren't low vis enough to be called UTR (narrators and low-vis CP too)" rating? I could see that. That's a sort of "default."I also 100% agree with all of the discussion about CP + OTT = CP. "They had lots of complexity but" nothing. If they are a caricature, they can't be complex. If they have wacky, OTT moments which are part of a larger, more complex character, you can't just throw the complexity out and call them OTT anyway. That is not to say that tons of OTT wackyness followed by 2 sentences of tribe strategy = CP. There needs to be some solid character development or clear insight going on. But if it's being debated, the character is usually showing enough complexity to be CP, IMO.

He's so paranoid and annoying, don't you think?)I my mind, this scene pretty much eliminates Chase........ UNLESS its a direct lead-in to a plot line involving Brenda and Chase. Maybe Brenda tries to get Chase booted (she had a Insider clip saying she didnt trust him anymore) and Chase manages to turn it around on her using his trusty side-kick Jane. Its really hard to even keep Chase on the contender list unless the 'Chase is stupid' plotline is resolved FAST. With so much emphasis on that story last episode, I think we should see something come of it soon, like one of the nest 2 episodes.

I mean we know that Fabio must play a role in getting Naonka out. The editors have been leading up to that for weeks. Even the most casual viewer knows that Fabio hates Naonka. Maybe next week is Fabio's coming out party as he finally gets one up on Naonka and gets her out?
