How much money do the contestants get for their rank in a season?

Remove this ad I think on Wikipedia, there used to be a chart of how much money the contestants win for their rank. But since the number of contestants have grown since Season 8 (or 9, that's when they started having more than 16 contestants). Obviously, we all know that the person in first place wins $1 million. I think the runner up wins $100,000. Anybody know what the others get? I can remember that in the first All Stars, the money was boosted up. I think Tina got $25,000 even though she was voted off first. I remember that Rupert said in an article after All Stars finished that he won $25,000 in Pearl Islands, $100,000 in All Stars, and the $1 million from the America's Tribal Council.

Posts: 1612 (11/26/10 10:13 PM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Something that sticks out to me is how a third place finisher in a 20 person season earns $10,000 less than a third place finisher in a 16 or 18 person season. I guess it's the "goat fee" because 20 person seasons usually have a F3. In the case of Becky, Mick and Russell they were goats. However, people like Cirie (FVF) and Ian suffer because there were 20 people in their seasons but no F3.

There seems little reason why, say, Yve and Kelly B. wouldn't earn the same amount of money since they lasted the same amount of days. In fact, it was Kelly's tribe that won the reward which necessitated them going to Tribal Council first, so it would be very unfair if she received less money for her tribe winning the reward. I'm sure Jonathan and Wanda in Palau earned the same amount, too, since they were eliminated within minutes of each other, and tied for placement.

Posts: 116 (11/27/10 03:28 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts	It also gets a little screwed up in all star seasons...or at least it did in ASS. Tina, the first boot, got $25,000 instead of $2,500. Rupert (4th) won $100,000 (and then ATC ), Jenna (3rd) won $125,000, and Boston Rob (2nd) won $250,000. I'm not sure how it changed in other ASS seasons.

That's how it used to be, I'm pretty sure now runner ups in Final 3s get like $200,000 or something and the 3rd place person gets $100,000. I'm under the impression that's how much Susie and Sugar both made in Gabon. And Dreamz & Cassandra both made $200,000 so Yau-Man got the $100,000 in Fiji. Also, they each get $10,000 for attending the reunion show.

I have her as a friend on facebook and I cannot tell you the number of times her status has read something to the effect of needing to figure out how she is going to pay rent.
