Can someone just give me a yes or no if the comics explain this satisfactorily?

I wonder if another purpose of the Amy/Andrea scene was to show another layer of how the zombie plague spread. Because of the lag in rising time I've been having trouble trying to get my head around how a large city, or even a medium Madison or Wichita, would be so quickly overrun - so if we go with the everybody's infected route that means that the 7,000 or so people who die every day were rising, and as I imagine a lot of people were like Andrea, embracing their recently deceased loved one only to get bit themselves.

I didn't think the episode was bad (and I actually was really enjoying it) until we got "what's that red clock counting down to?".
I like how when the black lady said she was staying, they were all like "peace!"
At first I was pissed that Jacqui was killed, but then I realized that if you look at her small, yet effective presence in the show you realize how wonderful her little story arc was. Since she was introduced, she was represented as a mentally stable caregiver amongst a group of emotionally fragile characters. Jacqui cared for T-Dog, Carol, and Jim at various points through the series. It was only fitting that at the end she was there to give her life to comfort an obviously damaged Dr. Jenner. Her character truly made a subtle impact and I think that is mostly due to the actress playing her. In her limited screen time, we got to know who Jacqui was through the amazing spirit that the actress put into her. I hope we see more from this talented woman in the future.
