Poor guy - looks to me like he has put on a lot of weight since the accident. If you look at this site http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=166135780978 it shows pictures of her an hour before the accident.

And I saw some pictures where she had makeup on in her wheelchair and was giving a rock hand.

Seems like her brain damage has affected her physical abilities more than her cognitive but who knows.

Anyway I think she had as much right to be there as anyone else's girlfriend or significant other. What should they do - hide her at home?

Does AI give a shit? No, I don't think so, and they totally used her for ratings and attention. And I agree the whole audition was stupidly done.

Maybe he's quite depressed about what happened to her girl so he was able to get that weight. I just hope Juliana recovers soon. God is good.

UGH - the ones that were taken one hour before the accident really got to me. I hate the way they pimped him out using her story, but damn is this not tragic. There is a video on her facebook group page where she talks and shows her own progress. It's really touching.

In the picture of her post accident above, she is wearing her engagement ring.

So why was this guy wearing it on a chain around his neck during the auditions. She was right there, she should have been wearing it. What, does he take it back when he wants to exploit her situation? It's not like she can do anything about it. Sleazo.

The ring on a chain makes no sense. It's like he's "honoring" her, but no way will he marry her now.

I think the whole "ring on the chain" thing was probably preplanned by the producers as well as the the dreamy "flash back" sequence. When I first saw him wearing the ring around the neck, I thought she had died. Why else would HE be wearing her engagement ring. I have all good wishes for the girl, but nothing but contempt for exploitative, sausage looking fiance.

Word. It's a tragic story but the way it was told on the show, imo as a means to get this dude noticed when his voice is clearly nothing special, smacks of Gokeyism of mammoth proportions.
