She was really not memorable in her stay on Cook Islands enough to be brought back 7 seasons later. Also, to be classified as hero was a joke. I'm kinda surprised someone like Sierra wasn't asked being somewhat popular on her season and a nemesis to Coach and Tyson. I mean if you are going as far back as Cook Islands to find a hot girl to fit the hero role they may as well asked Sally to come back from EI. Or put Sandra on the heroes where she should have been and got a much more interesting villain like Twila, Courtney from EI, Crystal, even Laura from Samoa. I don't hate Candice, I just think they really had better options.

Maybe just because she's the reason Cook Islands ended up the way it did and gave them the whole 4 vs 8 thing with the Mutiny. If she doesn't Penner doesn't. But that would make her more of a villain. I know she was asked back for Micronesia but declined. They must see something in her if they asked her twice. ;/

How the heck is a boring and ugly girl asked back? If they cast borwhores like girl from PI (forgot her name), then there's no stopping them from asking more forgettable Survivors. Oh, forgive me about the last part, there's no one more forgettable than the girl from PI (forgot her name).

Therefore, they can transfer her airtime over to big profile characters like Rupert/Russell, etc. Same with Danielle. She, Danielle, Randy, and Tyson were all cushion casting choices. Added to the fact that the casting department could defend her return (her mutiny in Cook Islands), she was cast mainly as a WTF choice. If you have 20 Russell's running around demanding airtime, it makes editing more difficult whereas if you have a Candice thrown in there it's easy to shaft her of airtime because none of the casual viewers care about her anyway.

Parvati was not that prominent that season, her stocks increased and she became a super star only after appearing in Micronesia. I always understood why they brought Candice back; the big question mark to me is Danielle.

Candice got fifteen confessionals and was UTR for half the season she was in (and she got eighth). If you're saying Candice is more memorable or more compelling than Danielle then fine but she was defo not featured more. I think Danielle and Candice were both fine picks but I don't get hung up on the gimmicks like other people do.

Nearly every castaways label made sense because of how they played the game (Tom, Boston Rob), their personality (Courtney, Coach), or popularity (Rupert, Stephanie). Candice doesn't fit any of these.

She was popular with the fans, is gorgeous, looks great in a bikini, is one of the best females at challenges ever, is a fan of the show, and she was great TV on the Cook Islands. The mutiny, romance with Billy, romance with Adumb, Candice in challenges, Candice confronting Penner, and Candice on EI were all great TV moments from that season. Face the fact that Survivor just doesn't have that many iconic female players and Candice was a shoo-in invitee for both FvF and HvV. They've been looking for, what, 6 years now to find the next Stephanie LaGrossa and the closest they could get was Amanda Kimmel. Candice <3

Again??? that was the WTF choice to me.... I just hate the threepeaters when they have too many options. Brett instead of james would have made that season FAIR... (about the russel thing & Micronesia 3) If they give the big VILLAIN edit to russel in samoa then do the same to Brett as the big HERO but not... they give him the "WTF where did this guy come from??? Edit in episode... what? 12?"
