Remove this ad After re-watching the challenge from Gabon, it looks like not only is the challenge geared to help Russell stay in the game, Matt would seem to have the advantage given his body type as compared to that of Russell's.

Posts: 46 (03/04/11 02:14 PM) More Recent Posts	From the Gabon version of the chal, here's a screencap of the last domino that has triggered the bar to release the ball down the chute(in this case to fall in a basket releasing a flag raise. Note: this cap is of the chal demo, as opposed to Gabon Ken's winning effort(used b/c it shows better the release trigger). And this is a crop of Matt's dominos showing the last domino has triggered the ball to go down the chute to drop and break the ground tile. At the least, we know from this that Matt's ball has broken the ground tile. Unseen are Russ's dominos and whether or not his dominos were triggered, whether they made it all the way to the trigger bar release and/or whether his ball was also released to break the ground tile. It does seem unlikely that both competitors would finish almost simultaneously tho. You make the call as Occam has already burned me once this season, so I'm going with him. Lots of credit/kudos to go around for a great effort by the spoiling community to get this far: Birdlady(and SquidProQuo at SBlows) for the Gabon chal promo links, VG and MayanSun for the great screencaps to work with, the 'T' ball spotters, the ground tile spotters. Really a good effort all around. Way to work the problem.

Posts: 466 (03/04/11 02:29 PM) More Recent Posts	In reference to the similar challenge in Gabon, Birdlady said "Probst keeps calling the dominoes "puzzle blocks" which I _think_ is because the bottoms are slanted - you have to find one that matches the slope." I wonder if the pattern face on blocks is always on the same side in reference to the direction of the slant on its base? If the blocks are all identical, whoever figured out they had to place the pattern "forward" on upward inclines, and "backfacing" on downward slopes would have an advantage. They wouldn't have to rely each time on trial and error placing the block in the correct alignment to the slope. Alternately, some blocks could be printed differently in reference to the angle at their base, and only trial and error would work for placing each block.

This will likely be his last hurrah on the show.CBS will likely sweep the russellgate scandal under the rug and not bring him back ever again. The only reason why Russell did not snitch on this season is because he got booted out early or you'll be seeing spoilers .

Without Russell ,there wouldn't be that entertaining drama with Ralph and that TC with Steph and Julie. Besides , we can get to see him go out again for good with that redemption duel. In the pic with Matt the white tile is right beside him, and the white ball is balanced on the post. You can see the balls balanced on the posts to the right of the end of the runs. Still not quite making sense, why the balls are on the post and not located on that 'slide' while they are brought into the challenge. Sonoerin uploaded an extended preview from RI. I'd assume so they don't accidentally break the tile before the dominos fall. I agree with the sentiment they are giving Maggot a chance to stay. He's gotten a full day to adjust to RI and get in Matt's head.

Joanna obviously was mocked with her faith with her edit and how others discussed her religion on screen. However for example Leslie, was very much a devout Christian throughout her few episodes in China. She walked out on the ceremony but was not presented as foolish during that or the other episodes she was in. I'd say she was one of the most positively portrayed super-religious players ever in Survivor. I think it's very likely that Matt wins. The pieces all fall in place with what we know. Russell was the spoiler for Samoa and HvV, which is why we didn't know much about the other tribes outside of things we had to know, Russell Swan's evacuation and Heroes injuries at challenges. He planned to spoil again for Redemption Island, but was bounced early and thus has nothing to spill, so he spreads fake spoilers to make missy the bad guy. Add in Matt receiving a very interesting edit thus far that points to him returning for redemption and Russell seems to be gone next episode.

Remove this ad Matt's tiles... this is the beginning of the dominoes, and so either the dominoes are triggered somewhere else (in Gabon, they pushed the first one to start it) as Matt apparently isn't in the photo (could be just outside of course), or perhaps Matt's "SHOCKINGLY" fall over, giving Russell all the time in the World to ensure he gets it right. Now, to me... the "triggered from somewhere else" debate is put to rest in this photo of Russell's dominoes. I don't see anyway that the dominoes could trigger themselves judging by this photo. There seems to be nothing that would push the first domino down. Perhaps I am incorrect in that assumption though. I could see the scenario of Matt being oh so close to beating the 'super villain' when his dominoes accidentally fall. Resulting in Matt being emotionally upset that he was that close to staying in the game, and now is done. I just don't see either of these two guys crying over a straight up loss. You would think that this would conflict with Matt's tiles seemingly having completed the goal of the challenge though. Finally, I don't think that Sarita and Ralph's reactions at the "Shock you" part of the promo are necessarily in rejoice. I take Sarita's reaction to be a "Nooo!" as she does move her head back in that sort of motion in the promo as well. As for Ralph, he swings his arm/hand to hit his knee. To me, not generally a "YES!" type fistpump or celebration. Perhaps I'm over analyzing, as I am quite bored.
