However, the editors will have a hard time to make her a satisfying winner (and they ALWAYS try to do this by either adding P-tone or CP-moments, or both), if she continues along the same road. I do feel she still has a shot if her edit remains low-key during the N-toned scenes... but then she would probably need to get a couple STRONG P-toned episodes as the season progresses and reaches it's climax. Otherwise, she'll never be portrayed as a likeable or deserving winner, which is what the editors ALWAYS aim for.

Unless you're on a season where Russell makes it far. Then you just get a few scenes here and there to remind the casual that you exist, with little to no thought put into what scenes you get.

She receives TONS of random toned moments, most notably the rat-killing scene, plus she received CP moments where she otherwise had no business receiving. It's not her fault the editors built up Russell for HvV and ignored her entirely. With an edit as minute as hers, she still received enough to be painted as (mildly!) likeable and/or deserving, which is what a typical winner's edit aims for.

Matt, David and Steve are all interchangeable and boring. Julie is a waste of airtime. Ralph is irritating as an STI and hasn't done anything since Russell left. Sarita could be interesting at a merge. Grant is clearly not winning so it is hard to even be interested in him as a character. Ashley and Natalie are also a waste of airtime other than to look at their hairy pits. To me it is plainly obvious that this season revolves around Philip, Rob, Andrea and Matt. Rob has dominated strategy airtime. Andrea has been involved in stories with Philip, Rob and Matt that are very memorable. Matt has dominated redemption island. Philip has dominated airtime. I can't see anyone other than Matt coming back from Redemption Island. Andrea and Philips scene was clearly key as was Philips Stealth scene this week. I think the Matt and Andrea are a mirror image of Rob and Amber. is the mostly likely speculation I have read yet. Oh and Natalie is not winning.

Honestly, I was more referring to Sandra with that one. They really didn't try very hard at all to make Sandra look deserving; supposedly she had quite a few more moments than what was shown, and was rumored to be a huge factor in the Danielle/Jerri boots.

And Andrea is being shown to have some end game relationships/connections. She is respected somewhat by Phillip, she has complex connections with Matt, she has been mentioned by Rob as being smart enough to know she's been screwed, and she is at least somewhat liked by the spa girls. Not sure how any of them do or who makes the jury, but if relationships and connections mean anything, Andrea already has some of those going for her.

At this point we've narrowed it down to people who COULD win, or have some sort of interest in their edit that keeps them from total elimination. I have her as my top pick, but it isn't a "sure thing" for me at all. I'm giving it another episode or two to really ferment before I start to back anybody completely. I have major issues with both Andrea and Natalie, and even more with Matt, and they are all very close in contention in my eyes. I just don't eliminate based on "bad ratings" or "lowest visibility" or "obvious distraction." I mean, Jud's pre-merge was primarily OTT and goofy, except that one snippet in E3 that, to me, hinted he could be our winner (at the same time, MANY dismissed his chances by that episode because he was a "joke," and ignored subtle hints like Na'Onka's confessional saying "He's not a threat, we can get rid of him anytime") I mean, look at Nat White: We cannot really expect the winner to be that tended to by the editors. They can be totally shafted for a while (i.e. Natalie's three 1 visibilities in a row in the MERGE) but when we see juicy moments, like Russell saying he'll beat Natalie and Natalie saying she still has a shot.. these are things to watch. Why bother showing Natalie White (although she wasn't shown very much) being a strategist and being well liked by her tribe mates? Because she wasn't important, but the editors had to do it to explain her win, even if she did nothing. It's 6 episodes in: UTR2 MOR2 INV MOR3 UTRN1 UTRN1 - Natalie T UTR2 MOR2 UTR2 UTR2 MOR3 UTR1 - Danni UTR1 INV UTR2 CP3 MORP3 UTR2 - Natalie W OTTP3 UTR1 MOR2 UTRP1 UTR1 UTR1 - Bob I'm again not saying she's perfect at all, but being ignored in the first 6 episodes overall does not mean they are a "UTRN useless winner"... we still have 8 episodes of game left to watch; we've seen 6 hours of 17 hours of show.. this is the time that it is OKAY to be ignored. I will say that if Natalie is UTR1 or more N next week, then I'll need to assess some things for sure. If she gets a confessional next week and doesn't have the intention of the editors to look negative, then I'll continue to be satisfied. I love Andrea, she's great, and clearly ;) has a lot of fans, especially in this thread... but there are qualms with her edit that make me feel her story is less about the win and more about outlasting those who wronged her. The laziness thing certainly could be brought up at the FTC. "Natalie, you were lazy around camp and let Rob carry you. Why should I vote for you?" Bam, there's a reason right there to show her being lazy, but still not Ashley-lazy where we're disgusted by her

I have 99.4% given up on Natalie, but the remaining .6% stems entirely from your arguments. Natalie owes you a pat on the back or... maybe more haha.

I'm not sure why many people are suggesting that Natalie has been so horribly negative that it will be impossible to recover for it. As far as I'm concerned, if Natalie gets 1 OTTP about being a young and this being an great experience, she's made up for the UTRNs. She has been very low visibility and has only had NSPV; the editors have not made her super negative like Ashley and will have no problems at all making her edit turn positive if they so choose to do it.

It's just that her negativity has been moderate at least, and if she wins she'll have a lot to overcome edit-wise. I would agree with you though, that this means a VERY strong P-toned episode along the course of the game, preferable near the merge. Once her "real" break-out starts (if it starts at all), we'll know whether she wins or not. Currently however, she reminds me more of Becky than Ratalie or Danni.

I think it is very possible that she remain UTR or N for a while, only to resurface at some point as Rob's ally, and make it to the finals and get third place after the jurors dismissing her ability to do anything. But for now, I'm going to be patient and see if this is a Becky Lee situation or a Danni/Ratalie situation. I need another episode or two to really make that call, at least for me. Others clearly have been more successful in determining Natalie's contention (that being zero chance). Perhaps I'm too patient (Alexis comes to mind) I definitely want to see Natalie and Rob's relationship be mentioned again, and actually see Natalie get another confessional about it (ala Amber) or receive unique, Natalie-only (no Ashley attachment) SPV from another player; otherwise, the E2 introduction could be much like Becky's introduction to Yul, followed by being called weak by her tribe and having armpit hair scenes. Very possible that Natalie is Becky, there are similarities... we'll see

I've talked to friends and been to other sites and the consensus is "Wow, Ashley's a bitch. I can't stand her." followed by either "Still not sure how I feel about Natalie." or nothing at all about her.

Maybe Julie redeems herself for bad karma Maybe Mike/Steve/David redeem themselves for throwing the challenge by winning lots of immunity challenges Maybe Phillip redeems himself by becoming not a joke Maybe Ashley redeems herself the same way Natalie supposedly will. If you want to go with the "redemption" theme, then NOBODY can be eliminated. If you're going to not eliminate Natalie, who has the least visibility out of ANYONE, then you can't eliminate ANYONE, period.
