Rob was already very wary about Matt in the first place , him aligning with Andrea , then him bonding with Mike about christianity , then when he blabbed about his original intention to take out Ometepe to rob - that's pretty much 3 strikes against him and solidify Rob's intent in his mind to get rid of Matt.
