Remove this ad Now with Pia gone we are going to have another male winner. Does anyone have any theories why the guys do so well on this show? Kris, Justin, David, Lee, Blake, and Sanjaya all got way too far.

I (and many others) called this shit weeks ago being once we get to the top 8 or so it will be a flaming sausage fest, let alone a guy definately winning. However I will say this...even if a guy does win (DUH) there is a chance he could be pretty successful cough McQueery cough barf. Not saying it's a definite, or superstar potential, but there is that chance.

J-Lo as the dominant judge certainly does not help with this sausage fest situation. Well, if we have an all male top 6, maybe they will rethink the voting rules.

Or pull a Survivor 16 and only let awful males (ok singers but very unattractive) in the top 12. It's not rigging, it's manipulating what they need ;)

Not anymore. The viewer demographics now trend much older than they did in the show's early years. Put the blame on sexually frustrated middle aged housewives, spinsters and cubefraus as they are the main voting base for the show.

I wrote an email to AI that season telling them that I was a female and watched the show for the male contestants and how disappointed I was that there were only 4. The next season is when they started the 6 male/ 6 female top 12.

That's what they did this year. All these guys are horrible in their own ways. Look at this gang of stiffs. Look at 'em! There is the guy that can't stop twitching and making strange faces, the guy with spooky eyes who can't sing worth a damn, a guy who squawks like a chicken while skipping and flapping around the stage, a well off suburbanite kid with a four note range who learned to be a "country boy" from watching TV, a hairy growly guy with a bass and a bloody anal discharge, and a screeching moralizing giant queen. Tell me they didn't already pick the worst bunch of stiffs they could find. These people are terrible. It's like a Monty Python skit.

I predicted that women would be 5 of the first 6 boots (I picked Stefano for 10th place) but this boot is ridiculous! Pia kicked ass yesterday and there was no reason other than lack of a penis that she should have been in any trouble at all. If HALEY had been booted (as some people guessed) it would still be 5 women booted in a row [with some help from the judges], but we wouldn't be starting new threads over it unless Pia had been in the bottom 2 as well. ThomThom's suggestion of letting just awful guys in the top 12 on Idol was already tried last year (okay, except for Casey). You can see how much good it did the women. New Prediction: next week's bottom 3 will include at least one guy.
