I might be tempted to say even ugly real ones are better than aesthetically pleasing unnatural ones. That's the thing, though, sometimes unnatural ones look natural enough. And even if you know they're fake, they can be convincing enough to fly past various unsightly realies. However, I would strongly maintain that these are the minority, and ugly real tits are always better than fakey fake tits.

Never in my wildest dreams did I see this happening tonight. It's a fucking shame the Idol that I used to love were they Kelly's, Carries and hell even Jasmines & Fantasia's could go deep in the competition. Well that's clearly long gone now. No matter how hot or talented a female contestant is they clearly can't win this shit show. GOOD LUCK PIA! I've been a fan of you for at least 4 years and seen you struggle to make it. But I hope now that your done with this crap you can be scooped up by someone and if not a recording contract hopefully a movie, play, model (porn? >_>) And you are far and away the most talented contestant vocally. I refuse to sit through the tortore of those other 8 without hearing you.

There must be some other reason she was let go ... ?? What are the "rules" for Idol contestants? Now that she's booted, can she sign with a record label, or does she have to wait until after the tour is over? If not, then she's probably already signed.

Posts: 2096 (04/08/11 07:37 AM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Normally a 9th place finisher would have almost no chance of getting a real singing career out of this (Mandisa is the only one that did) but this boot is so stupid, so unjustified and so obviously caused solely by her being female that maybe the rules won't apply in this particular case. Pia has a great voice and is gorgeous besides. She reminds me a lot of Katherine--not quite as pretty but at least as good a voice and a lot less confused about what sort of singer she is. I'm not naive enough to think that she will definitely get a career from this, but she certainly could. Vocally she is light years better than almost every guy this season. After the vagicide last season I didn't watch the early shows this year but came back on semis week, when I thought the group looked promising. I didn't even mind the first 4 female boots, none of which surprised me in the slightest. But this is different, just totally not right. Haley, who I don't like all that much anyway, is toast. And after Lauren is booted (I think she'll finish about 5th) I am done with Idol forever. There's no point in watching a show where people like Paul stay while all the women get booted.

It looks like UMG has different ideas about Idol in general. They made it clear "You should strike while the iron is hot " and " there will be other stars beside the winner" and I think the fact that Paul recorded his original demo a few days ago, which looked odd to me at first, has something to do with that. Look on the bright side, everyone was kind of bummed about her boot, even a non fan like myself was. Maybe it's better for her to leave when a lot of people still want more from her. I think she would have stayed if there was any valid method to predict the vote totals, such as DI in old days. With the introduction of on-line votes,fans are completely in the dark when it comes to vote totals unless their favorites hit the B3. Even Nigel says he can't predict top 3 this year, which may imply top vote getters are not set in stone.

Why did a person with superior singing skills do so poorly in a singing competition? Why, we are told, it's because Pia's performances just weren't interesting enough -- that the competition is not altogether mainly about the singing. See? Understand? And why was the interesting and inventive Naima booted from the show? Many of the same people explained that was because Naima just didn't sing well enough, you know like Pia, -- that Naima's entertaining performances shouldn't count because the competition is mainly about the singing. See? Understand? It's all bullshit. Pia is at least as interesting as the remaining contestants and very much more so if one has an interest in singing. Comments about Naima's lack of singing ability were way overblown and had the aspects of an urban legend. Naima sang as well or better than many of the other contestants and her performances were a welcome bonus to the show. Something to look forward to. Gone now. Off the show like Pia's grand singing. The champions of the mediocre who offer such critiques ought to just 'fess up and admit that because their favored contestant has limited singing and performance skills they are relieved to see competitors with superior skills voted off and that's all there is to it. They most especially don't want to see their favorite have to go head to head with them. We all saw what happened last year when Lee 'Mr. Mediocre' DeWize went head to head with Crystal Bowersox. The comparison was stark. She wiped the floor with him. Even his most diehard fans admitted it and struggled for excuses. This year's champions of the mediocre don't want to see that happen to their guy so they are delighted to see the quality talent leave the show. They even invent bullshit reasons why it's so right.
