It's all about taking your current situation and manuvering through. You can plan your gameplay before the game but most of the time the game won't be what you planned it to be. As the seasons of survival go on, more and more twists gets added. Success to survival depends on how well you adapt to situations.

Posts: 72 (04/21/11 04:25 AM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts	The problem I have with the RI twist is IF Matt (and he does seem to be getting the "winner's edit" IMO) gets to the end he is going to win in a landslide simply because he was not responsible in any way, shape or form, for anyone on the jury getting voted out (winning a duel is not the same thing as voting someone out of the game). Sure, he'll deserve props for winning all those duels, but the point of Survivor is supposed to be (and Jeff has said it a million times in the last 20 seasons) to "get to the end and have the people you voted out vote FOR you to win a million dollars." Everyone who has gotten to the end in all past seasons, either directly or indirectly. was responsible for the majority of the jurors being voted out. That would not be the case if Matt gets to the F3 & that is the main reason I can't stand the twist. I could have lived with it if it ended at merge, because it is true a lot of people seem to get unfairly booted in the beginning of the game before the tribes really "jell" but continuing it on after merge just increases the chances of someone like Matt having the opportunity to get to the end without having to actually vote anyone on the jury out of the game. (The same would be true of Mike, for that matter, but I don't think he's getting the winner's edit like Matt is). The other reason I don't like the twist is because once "the tribe has spoken" instead of being devastated at being booted out of the game, the bootee just shrugs his/her shoulders & says "I'll be back!" Where is the damn drama in that? The "tribe has spoken" has become a big "meh" IMO.

I remember people having their panties in a knot because Lil was gasp out of the game for 10 days. Yet if Matt makes the end he will have been out for nearly 30, and in the first three tribal council cycles he will have been eliminated TWICE. The other problem I have is not only do you get additional time with potentially all the jurors that nobody else gets, you don't even have to win out anymore. You just don't have to be last and then just win the final challenge. That is such fucking bullshit to me. If Matt wins this show is a fucking joke and has officially jumped the shark. If he wins too Probst is going to make it seem like this fucking heroic feat about going against all odds (like being voted out twice the same way like an idiot, beating a bunch of women and Russell, and then not getting last on RI). Real fucking heroic and my stomach is churning at how nauseating his edit is.

For the first 20 seasons that was the case that you needed the votes of the people that you voted out to win, but RI added a new dynamic to that so that you could win while spending the majority of your game on RI. In most cases someone like Matt probably would not be respected by a jury and would not get their votes, but since ALL of Ometepe are being a bunch of douche bags to Zapetera who will end up being the majority on the jury and also they are all going to bond with Matt on RI. If Matt wins it's because Ometepe decided to separate themselves from Zapetera, and considering this is a social game, that is a big no-no, which Matt is making friends with all of Zapetera which is why he would win.

It is some mutant variation which doesn't even resemble the original premise.

But this RI after the merge is absolute overkill and even the loser gets to stay in NOW and compete? GMAFB. The kicker is that no doubt BRob will be s victim of the twist they added to keep him in the game as long as possible. Worst.Season.Ever.

It is nice to get a behind the curtain look at Survivor and in his blogs, when he does that, they are worth reading. However, listening to him talk in his video blog was pointless. There was nothing new, nothing interesting. It was just a complete rehash of what happened at tribal council about Steve and Phillip.
