Perhaps it's a part of their persona, but that's assuming the drag queen has an act. Draq Queens are not to be confused with cross dressers or transvestites. They are supposed to be entertainers. If you're concerned more about look then you're no different than any haus frau on TWOP with no clue about drag. If that's the case then own it and move it along. But don't pretend like you know what the fuck you're talking about- because you don't.

I never said I was more concerned about the look over the performance, which, if you could read, is why Yara was my favorite. She had BOTH the look down and the performance down. It sucks that she went all mental at the end. However, of the three that are left, since I think all three are pretty much shit for entertainment on the stage, I'll go with Raja's LOOK over the other two whose overall style I do not like because they look like caricatures of what a "drag queen" should look like.

I really don't think that you can disassociate look and entertainment with drag queens as you have been so passionately doing. They are related. I think drag is about being able to fully embody the personality you want to present. If you wanna be "sickening" then you need to look and act sickening. The reason it has been an issue for me this year (unlike years past where I didn't really care about look [think Pandora]) is because all these busted queens keep yammering about how "fierce" and "sickening" they are when they aren't. If they would just own that they are boogers (in a good way) then I wouldn't care. But in the end, this is RuPaul's Drag Race and look matters. If you think that look has nothing to do with drag then take it up with Ru. In the end, I want to reiterate--so that I won't have to later--that IMO look (good or bad) and entertainment are pretty closely linked in the drag.

Alexis and Malaria would make more fitting winners: Alexis for her stage presence, despite any taste issues, and Malaria for her energetic lip sync skills. Raja really hasn't excelled in this competition for anything other than look, which is troubling, but it doesn't matter because she's polished enough not to tarnish the brand.

I see what you're saying sugar but for me, Alexis doesn't have stage presence and I think perhaps her shit personality off stage is coloring my opinion in that area. I find Alexis annoying as fuck and I have an absolute seething hate for her giant tits...oh and I hate her attitude towards Carmen early on about not being Rican "enough". As for Manilia I don't think she's that great at lip syncing. Maybe it's because I don't really enjoy her OTT face pulling and arm flinging. I also think Manilia is too much of a follower. Raja's back stage personality is bland as fuck and she's failed miserably in a lot of the challenges that required her to improvise but when she's on that runway that bitch owns it. She commands attention and makes you look at her. I'm from Florida and God knows we don't have great drag here but I saw a show about six months ago that was amazing and the queen who impressed me was the one who made me forget I was watching a guy in drag and made me feel like I was watching a woman singing her ass off and oozing sex appeal and charisma.... that bitch made me feel like a lesbian This is all JMO of course.
