If he was faking, why take the chance and go so slow towards the end. He barely made it up the steps towards the end, almost fell. Probst played it up, certainly, but I don't think Rob was faking. I think it was pure will. He isn't in the same physical shape of Grant and Andrea, and he wanted to win. I think you could tell how much Rob wants to win, and I think it's great. I think he loves to compete...Survivor, TAR... I doubt he's taken in $5 million. I don't think he was paid for previous shows...may HvV, but no more than anyone else. I think he'd play because he loves to play, though.

He has learned how to play the cameras over the years., That really wasn't a major workout, just a medium one. Poor Amber, if that all Rob has these days he must just be a quickie, then I'm done, wanna play Playstation?

If you have no fat, and are all muscle it can help, but really even that weighs alot, so a person with alot of muscles in their leg could get tired before someone with little muscle in their leg. Thats why someone like Nat, Ash, and Andrea were best suited to win this. Grant has alot of muscle in the leg (he was a WR, so he probably ran steps all the time), so he would beat anyone in a sprint, but someone light like a young girl would have the advantage in a marathon. The heat would also effect a light smaller person too, so really hats off to Grant for coming in 2nd. Boston Rob had no business winning this. He isn't in shape, he is past the age peak, and i'm assuming he doesn't have light legs at his age, but also probably doesn't have muscular legs either as men typically don't do stair masters, Woman do it for their butts.

To be fair towards Rupert, I don't think he owns anything else. But it is funny how these repeat players wear the same clothing like they're uniforms, or cartoon characters. Its also funny how Rob's trademark is his Red Sox's hat, yet he actually didn't wear that his 1st season. He worse a pats hate that season.

Posts: 84 (05/05/11 03:55 AM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Well Rob isn't in construction job anymore so he is not that fit as Andrea who is young (21 and she's been raised on farm and went hunting and she is athletic) and Grant who is fit (29 years old, NFL player and doing yoga and surfing) he is 35 years old (7-8 years older then all-stars where he was the strongest...even then Colby who was icon for challenges) and he got married and got 2 kids and still won that challenge. At the end you see even Andrea and Grant exhausted. It was all will power.

I'm not denying the challenge was hard (In the shape I'm in now, I probably would have actually died if I had tried that after 30 days of starvation and 110 degree heat). But let's be real...there was no need for a) Rob to pour Natalie's entire water bottle on him b) Have Grant and Probst pick him up like he had broken his leg. That was the case of a little cry-baby itis I think. That being said, kudos to him for winning. Grant, Ashley and Andrea by all accounts should have beaten Rob, a 35 year old dude who plays poker for a living.
