Always on my mind, not the 60's. Why didn't they just say a classic hit and a current hit theme night? Does anyone know what next weeks is yet?

I don't think there's any song ever performed on Idol that I NEVER want performed again as much as this song. I'd sooner see "Mad World" or "Billie Jean" done again than this. Lauren could NEVER, ever live up to this version. Its funny to think they're basically the same age and Jordin is miles and miles and miles ahead of her in terms of a)putting it all out there and b)emotional connection. Lauren holds back where Jordin gave it her all and this right here shows you why Lauren is not fit to win by any stretch.�

And at the time, I was a Mindy Do fan (still am!) and thought Jordin was too young. But just from that video, its clear she's heads and tails above everybody this year (and probably most other years too).

She completely connected with that song. We've really lowered our standards if we think anybody this year comes close to Jordin or some of the other winners/top few performers from other seasons.

Melinda was by far the greatest vocalist American Idol ever found and Jorbacca was an excellent singer too and was entertaining. As enraged as I was about Melinda's elimination homegirl totally earned her win. She was also an underdog to start out too, everything was Melinda/LaKisha/Blake and on and on and on and she kind of just came out and owned everyone (except Melinda), especially with performances like "I (Who Have Nothing). I don't think they're necessarily doing only 1 song each just because only one theme has been announced. I seem to recall times before where we only knew one theme but they did two songs. It might the theme and free choice, or the theme and another random theme. I doubt its just 6 performances for Top 4 night.
