Remove this ad So when it's a team you like getting screwed over by a bad taxi cab, it's outrageous and the rules need to be changed. But if it's a team you hate getting screwed by a bad taxi driver, then it's perfectly ok.

In any case they were probably screwed regardless of what driver they got, they would've been last to the first task anyway and there weren't a whole lot of places to catch up...and I doubt they gained any time on the bikes either.

Posts: 1532 (05/09/11 03:50 PM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Another solution: In America's Next Top Model, they've had drivers assigned to models, and the models had to use maps and give the drivers directions to go-see appointments - the drivers couldn't speed, and couldn't give imput into directions. Problem solved. Not too hard.

Sure. That'd be a better change in the final leg than a stupid trailer task. But Gallory lost fair and square because of bad luck and that's a part of the game. And I'm saying this being a huge Gallory fan... That said, someone hunt down that dude Sterling ASAP.

No different to, say, the high speed boat trip in the finale. And then make the challenges varied and difficult, to allow for switches in positioning. And make them all leave the airport at the same time, so customs doesn't determine the winner.

I was thinking the giving directions to the people could be a good alternative, but tbh I kind of like the paniced mystery of cabs.

Posts: 459 (05/10/11 06:45 PM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Wouldn't it had made sense for any of the teams, knowing that they are flying to their final destination city, and knowing that they would have to take a cab to the first task location in the final destination city, that they would take a few minutes to find a place inside the airport with internet access and look up the location of the first task (obtaining an address and telephone number) and do a Google Maps or Mapquest direction search from the airport to the location of the first task? By the way, seeing that the producers like to spread out the locations of the tasks in the final leg, they should provide cars and allow the teams to navigate themselves. With product placement, it would cost the producers less to do that than it would to pay three sets of cab fares (and the teams would only receive enough money for a tank of gas, tolls, and any admission fees levied).

Great in theory, but Colin/Christie's driver (Carl ?) took a bad route from Ft Worth Stockyards to Dallas (Loop 820-Airport Fwy-Stemmons) to downtown Dallas and then had to go back west on I-30 to get to Trammell Crow Park. Chip/Kim's cabbie went the better route south to downtown Ft Worth then East on I-30. IIRC, C&C wouldn't have caught C&K anyway, but the limo driver definitely lost time to the cabbie. But I do agree on the concept of a pre-arranged driver, especially when there's ample time before boarding the final flight.
