Kirstie's freestyle was a lot better than what I expected. I have to give Maks credit; considering Kirstie's abilities, and how disappointing Maks' freestyles have been with far more capable partners, I felt this was his best freestyle yet, and it didn't leave me feeling like Kirstie was out of the running. I really hope she wins, but I doubt it. Hines has the trophy in the bag, despite being very flat footed and pigeon toed, and just incredibly overrated in general. Kym had very clever choreography (again), and she danced around him and made him look good. She's very smart with her freestyles; right down to ensuring that the band doesn't butcher their song choice by having a marching band present.

I didn't hate Chelsea's freestyle as much as everyone else seems to; she was out of sync at the beginning, and Mark totally out-danced her, making it look odd, but she definitely had the hardest routine by far, and it was hardly the disaster people are making it out to be.

The thing that annoys me is so many people on other boards (like twop) are complaining about the judges fixing the scores, yet they seem to think the judges/producers are only doing so to favour Chelsea, and so they are voting for Hines to "retaliate." But anyone watching the show should see that Hines has been the most over-scored competitor this season; the praise he receives is just as much a product of producer/judge pimping as it is with Chelsea, if not more so. He's definitely going to be one of my least favorite winners ever.

Poor Maks is going to be runner-up, yet again, to an over-scored professional athlete whom shallow voters root for because he has a charming smile or something stupid like that (and the Steeler's fans will probably seal that deal).

Yes, Kirstie isn't the best dancer, but if you want the best dancer to win, Chelsea should get the trophy, hands down. No one this season even comes close to her. But that would be ridiculous, since this show isn't/shouldn't be solely about the best technical dancer; that's what the viewer votes are for, although sometimes even they have stupid opinions too (see Hines). But I feel Kirstie deserves that trophy; she's easily been the star of the season, and the biggest surprise. She may not be the best, but no one in a million years thought she would be as good as she actually is.
