I'm hoping for a good season. S3 easily had the most talented dancers so far, but it was marred by a lot of other factors. Like can we please get some real ballroom choreographers(Francis, Claudia, Danny, and Tony+ Melanie would all be fine)? Gustavo Vargas isn't even primarily a ballroom dancer of any kind, and so all his routines are just "street latin" (and wasting the pairing of highly accomplished international latin dancers Denys and Claudia on a capoeira with minimal "street" samba was unforgivable, especially considering their card just said samba). There was also too much disease contemporary (and with Stacy/Sean having to spend time with the US version, we may be stuck with MORE Sabrina Mathews...ugh), and finally, they need to do more than 1 routine a week starting at top 8; a performance week with only 4 routines reeks of a low budget, and it allowed so many dancers to coast through the competition with very little variety in the style they danced, including the winner, which is a shame because I'm sure he could have tackled whatever they could throw at him. Oh, and let's not forget the "4 dancers will be leaving" twist that they sprang on us at top 8, after the votes had been tallied; they can't keep pulling that kind of underhanded shit this season, which was clearly a last minute effort to get rid of MacKenzie, who was a lock to win the show until then (although I'm not complaining about that at all, since Denys and Amanda deserved it more). 

But regardless, it did have the most talented of the three seasons, so I'm hoping they repeat that this year, and they fix all the other stuff, which actually shouldn't be too difficult. I would have also stuck in the usual complaints about how terrible Jean-Marc, Tre, and Leah are on the show, but obviously nothing about that will change, so I've stopped complaining. Although, if this show is starved for choreographers, they could have Jean-Marc choreograph ballroom routines again, since he's great at it, and it would fix two of the show's problems at once. 

I do wonder how running against the U.S show will affect it, though... 

I figure the ballroom dancers will audition in Montreal, like they usually do. 

I have not watched any of the Montreal auditions or Finals week, and I missed a lot of the second audition episode, so I have no idea who a lot of these people are, but from the montage at the end, it seems we have a good number of ballroom/hip-hop dancers as well. And a lot of returning daces, which is also nice. 

Personally, I'm glad Jenny wasn't picked again; her sister was talented compared to the other mediocre dancers on her season, but in a more legitimate season, she would not have fared nearly as well. Her sister seems to be a poor man's version of her sister, and really, who wants that in a potentially good season.
