The second episode fell far short for me after that great opening episode unfortunately. It's like the budget for the show suddenly plummeted and the pacing slowed down to a crawl. A lot of the time spent in exteriors was replaced with scenes in the office. Instead of a group people talking over each other, it's settled into a normal back and forth between two characters at a time. They replaced Callum Keith Rennie with a generic female agent. I really hope that's not a permenant change.

And really, if they are going to do a character who can start a Rube Goldberg chain of events, the opening sequence was the right way to go. The rest of the times he used his power in the episode was just a bunch of stupid effects to hide the fact that they never shot footage to show what happened, especially with the death of Dr Singh. One moment he is looking around on the street and the next he's on the roof? WTF? And seriously, after the series of Final Destination movies, it's no excuse to not show what happened.

Also, it looks like the show has settled on the "freak of the week" episode style for the time being. The team will be sent out to investigate strange happenings and end up finding an Alpha each episode. Of course, what happens to these Alphas that they find, is where the show gets interesting because it looks like the government is using them for nefarious means and the team that Rosen has set up is basically a search team to help bring them in.  

One thing I have to laugh at: The third episode says that the team has to shift offices again after the attack on Rosen.

Here's my beef with the bullet in the quarter... No matter how amazing he is in causing things to happen the way he wants, there is no way for him to control exactly where he gets shot. That depends entirely on the agent who was shooting him.
