Remove this ad I read on one of the many dirt sheet sites that supposedly Skip Sheffield is returning Jan 2nd since negotiations fell through with Jericho. But that could easily be a smokescreen to deceive us. Jericho always seems to deny his return and then shows up out of nowhere when we feel like he really isn't going to appear.

I still say he doesn't deserve a huge push and I think his title reign was one of the weakest that I've ever seen. I think he should be US or IC Champ but for some reason those in power really seem to like him and think he is a true main eventer. I think they are handling Ryder just right. Not putting the belt on him is making him even more popular. I think it's only a matter of time before he get some kind of title but in the mean time why not build the support for him. Amazing how quickly he has become a fixture on the big shows. I remember never seeing him on anything besides shitty shows like Superstars.

I don't know what they are waiting for, maybe the Rumble or Mania for a big PPV win for Ryder? I worry that if they wait til Rumble or Mania, it's too long and by then the fans will grow tired of the Ryder chants, but I hope they can last. He's incredibly talented and I hope the fans don't turn on him because they wait so long for a title reign.

I wish he would have come back with his full mask, but I understand he had breathing/talking issues, and I'm still glad he's back. I'm intrigued but not incredibly surprised by the heel turn -- and confused by his neglecting to get revenge on Henry. Hopefully it means he'll be a force to be reckoned with again. Can't wait to see how it turns out! I don't get the point of his outside mask/helmet? I thought it was okay at first, but then he took it off to reveal his actual mask?
