This is a really important point for this atypical season.  Since it was sort of a "fans vs favorites" type of season, the newbies didn't get enough character development on the show ..  Brenchel dominated the TV shows for weeks and the newbies hit the cutting room floor.

Any reasonable viewer expects this sort of thing in a season like this, but it was really over the top and the veteran HOH domination the first three weeks just made things worse.  Dominic leaving hurt too, because he was the one newbie who had been given a lot of air time prior to the returning houseguest twist.

In a typical season, you'll still have dullards who don't get much TV time, but by F6 you normally have come to know at least 5 of the remaining HGs really well.

The twists and rigging and everything else we're talking about follows hand in hand with the way they've edited the show ..  if the veterans are pagonged after the show invested 90% of the air time on their story, the editors aren't left much to work with.

They created the circumstances that would've led to this problem and created twists they hoped to minimize/fix the problem.  So far, so good for the producers and the editors
