Things that should have taken 30 seconds to be over and done with ended up taking 10 minutes. Even the evictees walking out of the house took a fucking eternity. The other thing I remember was the main title theme. It had a nice bluesy sax instrumental that was quite good. When Shapiro took over, he changed it to that tinkly piano dreck and then later (in BB6, I believe) to the noise pollution that continues today. The theme song was the one thing they should have left alone! S1's intro reminded me of the Melrose Place theme. I just had to go YouTube it, to reminisce.

Posts: 21279 (09/10/11 12:54 PM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I watched some of the first season, mostly to hate Jamie and George, and root for one or two of the boring people (what can I say), but didn't watch regularly. I really got hooked early in BB2, as I was fascinated by Nicole, who played such a bizarre and bad game and then somehow managed to survive! That night she survived was one of my favorite ever on a reality show. I was also repulsed by Justin and wanted to see what would happen there, I was fascinated/horrified by Krista, loved Monica, and rooted for Kent, %+#$+, Nicole. Then I started to hate %+#$+ but never could hate Nicole. She was just too much insane entertainment. Her relationship with Will was the TRUE "feeds gold". I checked out for a while but was back again for the end of the season. I followed most of BB3 but hated BB4 early on and lost interest...I still watched occasionally but didn't get back into it again until the trainwreck that was All Stars. I've been in and out ever since. I don't think anything can ever compare to BB2.

If you wanna go back and watch BB seasons 1-7, you should go to youtube and search "BigBrotherEpisodes" go to his channel and he has all 13 seasons. If I were you, I would 100% watch BB6 first!! BB6 is one of the best seasons.... Ever.

Posts: 104 (09/14/11 09:37 AM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I remember my parents and my sister watching season 1 after it being heavily advertised on their favorite show, Survivor. My sister's favorite was Josh and my mom loved Eddie. My dad thought George was an idiot, I remember. I remember when Josh jumped in the pool to save the dog and Cassandra wanting to quit (I think?) but don't recall much else from the season. I was bored with the show, though (I was eight years old) and never got into it. My parents and sister watched BB2 that next season and I watched along once again. I remember loving Monica because I thought she was funny and I cried when she heard about her sister(?) and 9/11. I subsequently cried when Nicole evicted her. Didn't watch BB3 or 4, not sure why. My mom and sister didn't either. My dad was one of those people who gave up on reality TV after 9/11. Thought it was silly. We girls picked up at season 5 and we all LOVED Drew/Diane although I secretly rooted for Nakomis even though my mom hated her for literally no reason. When Drew evicted Diane, I laughed (because it was hilarious he evicted his GF for money) and cried (because she really deserved to win). Poor Diane. Watched every episode ever since with my mom. My sister moved out, "grew up," and didn't watch any after All-Stars. I personally feel the show has waned since the early days. Soon after getting "re-hooked," I went back to watch 3 and 4. 3 is fantastic on season 2 levels and I thought 4 was alright in parts and still think Jun is one of the best and most deserving winners ever, certainly the most deserving female winner. I think Season 1 was the good old days and if America wasn't so PC and bland, the format could have worked. If we'd had people like Will Mega, Jordan and Brittany in the end, it could have been entertaining. Season 2 will always be the best, no matter what. Seasons 3-6 were all amazing as well (eh, 4 is not amazing- but good!) and will always be classics. Like Survivor, AS changed everything and all seasons after have to be taken with a grain of salt, although I really enjoy them for what they are. BTW, BBUK is definitely the superior sibling @ whomever said that. For sure. The entertainment doesn't even compare.
