1. I've learned from almost 4 seasons of this show is that none of the characters ever serve as reliable narrators/observers, SO if Brock gets deathly ill, and Jesse notices that his RICIN cigarette is missing, it does NOT follow (especially on this show) that either Walt or Gus used that Ricin cigarette to poison the kid. Hell, there's no proof that Brock is even sick from ricin poisoning (which I'm sure it was mentioned takes a few days to do its work). So given that I don't know if Brock's diagnosis is Ricin poisoning, I'm not going to even go far down the road of whether Walt or Gus poisoned him. Either scenario seems a bit problematic when I think about them for a few seconds.

2. Gus's "senses." Given Gus's background and the fact that he tends to be 10 steps ahead of his opponents, great and small, I find it plausible that Gus's instinct kept him from returning to his car. I do think, the real explanation, which I believe we'll get next week, will actually reveal some things that might make Gus's actions seem obvious in hindsight. I did notice that the camera spent a LOT of time on the glasses on top of Walt's head while he was spying. I was even thinking that the reflection might alert someone to Walt's presence on the top of the building. I also thought that maybe Gus wasn't particularly on the lookout for Walt or Jesse in that moment, but rather he was focused on another opponent: The DEA.
