I at least learn that Viktor and Kim aren't that smart, articulate, or deep. I know the show isn't meant for that and that's a shallow conception, but everytime they spoke, I just wanted to gauge my eyes out. Anya <33 after that, though. She was mature and self aware abot the whole thing.

I liked her from early on, though she was more in the background, but her story this episode really made me root for her. I'm a sucker for manipulative editing. And I am probably alone in this, but I think Victor (who I like more and more) was in the right with his gripe about Kimberly copying aspects of his design. It wasn't just the one-shoulder, which is common, true. It was the belted waist. The "silhouette" as he said. The color was a given, since she had only the lining to work with. She added the beautiful elements of the diagonal chest slit, and the pink chiffon coming through the slit in the skirt (lifted from Bert's design!), and I did prefer her final look. BUT, she was breaking down, obsessed with Victor's status and abilities, stressed, and crunched for time. It's a fine line between stealing and being inspired by a look, but if I were Victor, I would have felt ripped off. ESPECIALLY since she won the face-off.

That seemed meant to take any eyes off her. Yet SHE was the one whispering in his ear, "Josh's design looks just like yours." Kind of takes away from her point when she was aiding and abetting his allegedly bad behavior. I actually though Viktor was right about everything he said, even if at times it seemed like sour grapes.

Posts: 700 (10/09/11 01:31 AM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts	The After the Runway show pissed me off because it was like one giant spoiler that basically confirmed what many of us were already predicting, and I wish they would have saved this for after the finale in a reunion show breakdown like they do with the housewives shows. Anya not being on the couches at the start with all the others and then getting her special entrance after the first commercial break SEETHING HATE. Then everyone spewing their bitter juices at Anya while she sits there with the shit-eating grin of someone who's already won the competition in addition to the $20K this week....they're all PISSED. If any of the others won the season they wouldn't have given a shit about this week's challenge and they would be happy for Anya that she won some money, but instead they were foaming at the mouth with resentment. And fuck them for not addressing why Laura wasn't there this week as though none of us would notice that she wasn't there. We did, and they could have said something about why she wasn't there instead of pretending like none of us noticed that one out of the final 6 contestants was missing. Can someone please buy Josh's model some Proactive? I'm haunted by those boils on her face.

Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Much as I like Anya and don't like Josh, I can't help but agree with him about the model having to be cut out of Anya's dress. I would think any outfit that went on the runway should be a finished, wearable piece of work. Don't know if it's the same thing, but if they can't use tape or a hot glue gun to finish something when their time is running out, shouldn't they also have to present something that is fully completed or be judged accordingly if it is not. Wonder what would have happened if Heidi said "oh I love that dress, I want to try it on right now"...would Anya still have won? I personally liked Kimberly and Viktor's dresses the best, but preferred Kim's. The feathering on Viktor's was a little more than I would like. Agree with the comments about Josh's looking like an orange potato sack with a corsage. Bert's should have been in the bottom, but I thought Laura's was the worst of the two and that she should have been out, instead. Plus I find her uber-annoying.
