Jeff wanted Christine back in the merge to spice things up a little. It's like the moment of Christine's revenge vs Coach. Comeon, the game is going to suck after Christine is gone and even if Ozzy comes back from RI, he's probably be the first to get voted out (just like Matte). Then the game will be left with people like Cochran, Edna, Brandon....Argh.... Can't believe if any of them gets in the final 2/3.

Posts: 228 (10/27/11 06:07 AM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I don't know if there's any SC2 fans here, but in the game there's something called a "cheese" -- it's any sort of strategy move that is both incredibly insane and all-or-nothing... if it fails you have no hope of recovering. The point of it is to psych out your opponent, and hit them with something so unexpected that it causes them to either lose or forfeit. It's like gambling, it's risky but the payoff is huge. Personally I'm a fan of cheesing and this is classic cheese... if Ozzy makes it back from RI he can go straight to Coach and say "my alliance fucked me over, let me work with you," and Coach WILL believe him, because who the hell volunteers to get voted off?

This part is very true. It's the same thing that happened when the Hidden Idol became a staple of the game... oh wow, 4 people got votes at TC? Yeah, that's only because they were trying to "flush" out the idol or split the votes up "just in case", yet needed to waste 15 minutes of the episode explaining the math to the idiot layperson. Wow, Quantasheequa got 2 votes and she didn't even say anything the entire episode!! I was totally fooled into think she could go home!!

If they merge & it's 6 vs. 6, somebody else can be screwed. A lot of mid-Samoa comes to mind. If Ozzy returns, it's 6 vs. 6, and they merge, but if the merge tribe vote (assuming they merge) is 6-6 and the hidden immunity idol isn't affetced from the vote, nor does nobody flip, meaning Coach and Ozzy/Cochran play an idol, but the tribe both vote for who they least likely think would get the idol given to them (like the heroes tried with Jerri) meaning the 6-6 vote would be a tie between Edna & Whitney (random guess), this means whoever isn't affected in the actual tie, doesn't have immunity or plays an idol draws rocks. Ozzy's move could potentially screw over another survviors' player. Although, if someone from Upolu draws the rock, Ozzy's plan wouldn't have backfired, but would've basically eliminated another survivors' game with a rock over his move. Since nobody wants to leave the game over a purple rock, someone is going to have to maniuplate the entire vote or pull a Fincher on the vote. If Christine returns & Ozzy is out, and they merge, he not only screwed over his own game play, but Savaii would be down 5-7. Since a tie is something all survivors typically try to avoid, Christine would not have a majority to flip just yet. Her move would either be to play both sides, let Savaii play their idol and knock out someone from Upolu (Brandon or Coach) and then flip, which is what Shambo did, or she would have to work with Upolu, let Upolu pick off one or two from Savaii and work with her floow Uplou tribe members and get them to flip with her, in the event Coach's alliance cracks, which it would since Coach is likely to want Enda & Brandon for final three, possibly getting Sophie, Albert, and Rick interested in flipping. Or, Upolu welcomes Christine in, and they try to got as a seven way alliance, and then dump her at the final 12 like Ometepe did to Matt. Ozzy should've worked to have Upolu lose, have Upolu vote out one of their own tribe members, and if Christine beat them, she would flip with Savaii rather than work with a tie, rather than even look at the Uplou tribe members. Posts: 2904 (10/27/11 08:40 AM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts	As the episode mentioned , it's a "trojan horse" scenario that Ozzy is hoping to achieve as he will try to infiltrate Upolu by making believe that he's angry and pissed off at Savaii who voted him off , that Cockroach is the mastermind behind his ouster who had found an idol and used it to get rid of Ozzy so that people from Upolu will believe that Savaii do not have an idol and believe Ozzy can be counted on to take out Savaii or maybe Ozzy will try to sway Upolu to vote out Cockroach since he's the "mastermind". If Ozzy knows who Upolu is voting for , he can use his idol and give it to that person to use. That's what Ozzy is thinking but i don't think that Ozzy is that great of an actor to pull it off or that Upolu will swallow whatever Ozzy has to say.

First off, I expect that if/when Ozzy returns, he'll pretend to side with Upolu and proceed to tell them that Cochran has the idol in his possession. Assuming that Upolu are stupid enough to fall for his act, I guess they'll let Ozzy in on who they're voting for. From there, Ozzy will alert the old Savaii tribe on who the others are voting for and then of course Cochran will be forced to hand the idol over (or keep it, depending on who the votes are being cast for). Main flaw in this process is the fact that Upolu are more than capable of lying to Ozzy. For example, telling him that they're all voting out Whitney (thus urging Savaii to give her the idol) but deceiving the Savaii alliance and voting for Dawn instead. That way, Ozzy's ploy at giving Savaii the headstart they needed was virtually worthless and the Savaii alliance will be down one in numbers. In regards to the second point you made about Christine returning, I seriously doubt that Christine is going to side with the same people who she has flipped off and talked smack about on numerous occasions. On top of this, I wouldn't have thought she'd have the brain power to think that deep into the game. Let's also remember this is a season without a tribal switch which means we can pretty much rule out any hopes of an interesting and exciting post-merge game (i.e. flip-flopping and a sense of surprise at TC). However, in saying that, I do have higher hopes for this season in the sense that Sophie, Albert and Rick have already proved that they can succeed without the help of Coach, leading me to believe that there could be a slight chance of them flipping to Savaii. I would prefer if the tribes didn't merge just yet. I want more time for the animosity between castaways to take it's toll, therefore urging more people to want to switch when the merge does come.

Uh yes, they'd still have the idol, but Upolu would just be oblivious to it. Therefore he could gather information from Upolu, feed it back to his original tribe and then play the idol accordingly.

In other words, he's afraid he might get blindsided again and look like a dumbass, possibly at the hands of Cochran of all people, so he's basically committing Survivor suicide and thinking people won't criticize him for it because he was fully aware this time. Basically saving face in advance.

The wimp that he is will give Ozzy the Idol w/no questions. I think Jeff & the Producers made the RI challenge hard enough so Ozzy would win it for sure. In the past Ozzy has always done well with the long pole & key type challenge. I have a feeling Ozzy will win the challenge, go back into the game and then get his Idol back and be back in the game. I really don't think Ben Wade will win the game, no one except his butt boy Brandon will give him the vote to win.

So this is Survivor's new marketing strategy? "You loved it when it happened to Russell! Tune in to watch the player you hate the most get humiliated at Redemption Island!!"
