Yeah, I don't think the niners are really that good, but hey, they're 6-1, so what do I know?

Love the Rivers clown face making a reappearance.

Jit, losing games does not get you a good coach. The examples in the NFL of this are just too numerous to mention.

I nearly spit out my morning coffee when Rivers fumbled that snap. I thought of you and said to myself "please let the Chargers win in ot for the sake of her sanity"

no team has mastered the art of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory quite like the Chargers. they had 9 trips inside the KC 35 and scored only 16 pts? wow you cant make this shit up. now that everyone is writing them off though, watch them look like world beaters this sunday and hand the Packers their first loss. wouldnt surprise me in the least.

what I cant figure out is what compelled AJ Smith to hire Norv in the first place. was it his 49-59 record w/ one playoff appearance in seven seasons w/ the Redskins? was it his 9-23 record w/ the Raiders? there is a reason why Norv is the only coach in the post-merge era to be fired midway through a season with a winning record.

reminds me of Peter King who has the Eagles #8 in his PR and the Giants #15 when the Giants have a two game lead on Philly and beat them at the linc by double digits.

Vikings defensive end Jared Allen has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Month for October. Allen tallied eight sacks last month while also forcing two fumbles and recovering two fumbles. Allen leads the NFL in sacks with 12.5 and set a Vikings’ record by recording a sack in 10 consecutive games.

On top of all that, Allen and his wife, Amy, also welcomed their first child in October. Their daughter Brinley was born last week.

Allen was the AFC's Defensive Player of the Month in October 2007 when he was with the Chiefs. This marks the first time since November 2005 that a Viking has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Month. Darren Sharper was the last to claim the honor.

The Vikings are 2-6 and will have a top 10 selection in the 2012 draft (unless they trade their pick to the Patriots for Albert Haynsworth).

As an outsider, I've never understood this - they support (more or less) 2 professional hockey teams in the area; UCLA and USC seem to have a decent fan base; why would pro football be the ugly stepchild?

Forbes has an article rating the 10 best and 10 worst owners.

While I can't argue with William Clay Ford coming in at the #1 spot for worst owners, I was surprised that Daniel Snyder was only #9 on the list of worst owners.
