So a friend convinced me to go see a band I'd never heard of (Pink Martini) because it was on Groupon.  I did not look them up online, just went on a whim, and it turns out their singer is out for throat surgery and their special guest singer for this tour is Storm Large.  Not only is she gorgeous, great stage presence, danced with audience people, cracked jokes, but Pink Martini is a jazz band, that does international/big band type stuff, and she sang in English, Spanish, Turkish, Italian and Croatian and seemingly with perfect pitch.  I was so impressed!  I don't know her musical resume, but I'm wondering if she's done jazz/big band singing before because you would never know she was a rocker from that performance.  Oh, and I didn't realize how tall she is, she was taller then every guy on stage except one.
