Remove this ad Considering all the dislike CI and Fiji get () it wouldn't entirely surprise me to see them set those aside for more popular seasons like China and FvF () or possibly Samoa for the Russell loving casual audience. I'd also like to send a personal thank you to MJSLawrence for doing her part in trying to sell copies by answering an Amazon users question in the comments. As a result, the guy expressed an interest in purchasing more Survivor seasons. More sales = mucho bueno for us.

I never understood all the Cook Islands hate either. I know Yul's immunity idol was broken and all, but at the end of the day, seeing the mutiny, and then Penner going back and forth was just great. You don't see it NEARLY enough nowadays, so it was refreshing from that aspect, plus it was nice to see the people who looked absolutely screwed take over the game. As for commentaries, I wouldn't hold my breath. Having said that, Rob C alluded to doing commentaries on his Web page for Amazon, so that'd be cool to check out :D

In some seasons 20 works fine, but here you had honestly some of the most horrifically edited nobodies, including but not limited to: Cecelia, JP, Stephannie,Cristina,Brad,Rebecca,Jenny,Sundra,Becky. This was also the first season that really had 20 contestants, unlike Palau. 2. It was the first season featuring the Final 3 3. Flicka was a second rate version of one of the most annoying contestants ever 4. Barely anybody was playing the game 5. The Aitu 4 probably would've been more loved here if Sundra/Becky weren't two of the most boring women to ever be on the show 6. It is paired with Fiji, making it honestly the WORST year that Survivor has ever seen.

Of course, having watched it a few years after it aired and getting a fresh perspective helped me to appreciate and enjoy the season more than I had when it first aired. But I still think it sucks.

It had some great moments & some great characters...its given us alot more than some other seasons that for damn sure....Ozzy, Penner, & Queen Parvati? thats a pretty great chunk of talent. on a side note...got my confirmation email that TAR season 3 has shiped and will be in or close to my hands round the 1st of Dec....I find this weird as they haven't posted a release date for it yet :) oh well, Honey Badger don't give a shit...as long as I get my TAR!!!

I enjoyed watching Yul gain the majority, lose it in the mutiny, and then make the proper, calculated moves necessary to regain it again. His likable personality didn't hurt either. And lets face it: most of us enjoy seasons where the group we're personally rooting for is slapping around the group we personally dislike. Especially when they were at a disadvantage. I'm not merely saying this because the editing implied it, but I could not stand Candice, Nate, Adam, and ESPECIALLY Parvati so watching them turn from cocky, smug d-bags to mopey, humbled twits was awesome to watch. Throw in kidnappings, great challenges, race twists, Billy, Cai Boi, Penner, awesome FTC and a nail biting finish and you've got a pretty good season.

Remove this ad I doubt CI will ever be a top priority to rewatch, but the Aitu 4 wrecking Raro was fucking awesome to watch the first time through. Sure, Becky and Sundra on their own were very uninteresting characters, but that string of victories over a tribe I found very unlikable (except, eventually, Penner) was delightful.
