Jim could just as easily have said that knowing that Cochran does beat Ozzy, so it's not conclusive of anything really. I agree it's not conclusive. Nothing is. Post boot interview material is persuasive, not conclusive. The tone was definitely mocking... like as if!

Marty controlled the old folks tribe before the merge/swap and explain why Holly/Jane flipped (plus explain why Jimmy Johnson was voted out even while being given a positive edit).

Remove this ad People bitching about speculation: you do realize that any speculation based on spoilers can go nowhere else on the board, right? It'd be douchey to go to the speculation section and talk about what you think Cochran's chances are vs Ozzy on RI. People saying Maxx should just post the spoiler link and then the thread should be locked: you do realize you can get the exact same effect by choosing to read only the posts Maxx links to, right? There's no reason for those who want to discuss the possible implications of the spoiler to stop posting just because you aren't interested in such a discussion. I actually think with the way this season has been edited, that Cochran's quite likely to beat Ozzy. I admit Jim's comments in his interview don't make this seem super likely, but it's possible he just enjoys misleading us. Especially with the recap episode, Ozzy has been shown in a very negative light relative to Cochran, and I think they may be setting up yet another revenge of the nerds moment. Can someone quote what Maxx has said about Brandon's supposed quitting (or was that from another source)? I recall someone saying he quits the main game and still does a duel, but if that wasn't Maxx it seems possible to me that if he was blindsided and was Cochran's final obstacle to returning to the game (Cochran already having beaten Edna), Brandon would opt out of the duel. I don't think Brandon would want to return to his tribe if they betrayed him. I'm still holding out for a miraculous Cochran win. If Jim was misleading us with his "John could never win a duel" comment, perhaps he ends up getting over Cochran's flip and votes for him to win.

No way cochran wins 4 duels, but anybody can get lucky for one - which is also why I don't see Ozzy coming back either. Is it confirmed the returnee will return at final 5?

To my knowledge, Maxx hasn't said anything about Brandon quitting -- Dani at Skills said he was out around F5 & SU who elaborated with the whole quit/medivac thing around F6/F5.

It's assumed based on time-frames and season 22's similarity. I don't think any sources have explicitly stated that. I'm not sure if they would have warned the contestants if there was to be a change. Maybe, maybe not. With no evidence to the contrary though, we've gone ahead and assumed F5 because Jeff stated in an EW interview that there were very few changes to RI this season barring the elimination of multiperson duels (lol which turned out to be misleading anyway). I think he said from now on they're one on one so we don't expect any further format changes.

Posts: 2786 (11/26/11 10:20 AM) Registered user More Recent Posts	Jim's comment was in reference to Christine, he basically says "If we would have sent Cochran, we wouldn't have been a position to draw rocks, we would be in the same exact position we were now because there's nobody that Cochran could beat at redemption island." He says it really fast, and really dismissively. I feel like it would be one thing for him to just say it if Cochran beat a single person, but it's something else if he beats multiple people to make it back into the game. Who knows, maybe RI ends earlier and Cochran does re-enter the game, but I seriously doubt he beats multiple people to do so.

Maxx, do you mean none of the info you've released mentions Brandon quitting, or according to all of the spoiler info you've gathered so far Brandon doesn't quit? It's hard not to read into each of your posts for clues, and your phrasing here sounds like a confirm that Brandon DOESN'T quit!
